    Thanks again for your help!
    I have tried resetting the plugins twice and no joy. I also reinstalled WordPress and did every related suggestion I could find in the help.
    But nothing! If you have any other idea, I’d be very grateful. Otherwise I think I’ll have to give up.

    Thanks so much keesiemeijer but unfortunately I can’t log in under https://djenkinson.com/blog/wp-login.php, either. I have deleted all the plugins through FTP. No joy there either. Same with cookies, and all the other suggestions in the docs.

    I have the default theme already. I was never able to download a new one.. so presumably the problem’s not to do with themes. Sigh!

    I haven’t given up yet – I like wordpress. So any advice would be great..
