With a second (better) phone call to go daddy, I was able to work around the problem by using their file management tool to ftp XCloner.php and have it stay there. Apparently there is something in the script that they do not like (suspicious looking) and they are quickly seeing it and removing it. Once I finally got it there, I was able to clone yet another site. And then I removed the XCloner file…

I have tried a XCloner.php from a past cloning of a different site and this script will “stay” but it gets a script error (Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_action()) when I try to run it so I went back to the “newer versions” of XCloner and TAR and again, the XCloner file disappears and the TAR file stays. I tried calling Godaddy but they were unable to tell me while the file was disappearing.

I have clients that I have instructed to purge the cache after they make some of their updates and they really hate this. They think it is wordpress doing these ads to them but it’s really the plugin. It makes wordpress look bad. Can you imagine if all of the plugins put up ads after you saved options.

I too would love to be able to turn this off. Please let us know a way to turn it off or consider not doing this in the next version, thank you.

Thank you, I deactivated a Find & Search plugin I had installed at some point (?) and the “after search results highlighting” stopped. Thank you for your quick reply.
