Thanks for that link on checking for conflicts! I found a conflict with the free version of Ninja Forms. I would like to use that plugin as it sends a confirmation email (unlike other forms plugins – for example, activating WPForms Lite does not cause a conflict), or perhaps I should search for a different Forms plugin that also sends confirmation emails.

OK, strangely I just tried it again, and email was received at one email address (a business address), but not at the other two email addresses I used when completing the RSVP. They weren’t in the Junk folders either. Any ideas?

Yes, it does. I looked at the SMTP plugins, but couldn’t figure out how to configure them, as i use gmail and pop for my regular email, but maybe this would be different? It would be very helpful if you or someone would provide info on how to configure the SMTP plugins with HostGator hosted websites.
