In reply to: Published New Page does not show up on menuyour help is greatly appreciated.
I got the menu set up just fine.
Do you know anything about the way my home page opens>??Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Published New Page does not show up on menuI thought it would be best, cohesive, to put a page for tutorials as the main page where a list of tutorials are offered (on the sub pages). Right now I have a page named Tutorials, with a sub page titled: Name tutorial #1.
I probably won’t have more than 5. It’s not a big focus of mine.
How does a category differ? I have not worked with categories.another question: the avatar showing here for me, is not the avatar i have on my profile. ??
another question: When I open the home page, it lands on the top of the photo rather than the header. Can I change that? I was told by a friendly critic that my menu is not noticeable because it is all the way on the top of the header and it is small. So I put a list of pages on the right column.

In reply to: Published New Page does not show up on menuok, I went to appearance>menus and have the pages activated. but one is a sub page and shows up as a main page. i chose the parent category on the page. I don’t know why I have a custom menu set up.
Maybe I don’t need it? What is the point? thanks for responding so soon.

In reply to: Header with shadowthanks for the effort. i have decided to use a different theme. i think your code would have worked, but i found another theme that provided the effect i wanted.
I tried the recommended code change above but the border is still there.
I would accept a black one, but really prefer NO border.I DO want to remove the white border around the enlarge image.

In reply to: Header with shadowthat is great! I see a new line above the menu…is that because of the shadow? I would like the page to be clean and this line is sort of distracting.
thanksForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Header with shadowclose! thanks so much.
The shadow is hardly there but it is better than flat.
Can it be increased a bit?
I want a slight floating effect.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Header with shadowhttps://www.deborahbabin.com
i tried to do a screen shot but it won’t copy here.
it is simple….
the header is a regular image, flat.
i want dimension, with a shadow to one corner.
the shadow would show on two sides
the images in the gallery have a slight shadow and this looks nice.
i only found one theme that had shadows but it was over the top.
i want a clean modern look.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: How to make header and nav menu side by side?I have a slightly different goal: to add a drop shadow on the header.
I use YOKO theme. The header is nice a large but flat.
