In reply to: Is My Website Hacked?Thank you, cubecolor and sabinou1! It appears the website is fine and un-hacked. The culprit was Sexybookmarks. I changed a setting in the plugin and the code went away.
One last question for ya, cubecolor, you mention that SexyBookmarks is bloated. Is there an alternative sharing plugin you’d recommend?
Thank you both for your help!

In reply to: Blog HelpSounds like a WordPress 3+ error. My site had a similar problem. I followed the instructions I found here:
https://aldebaranwebdesign.com/blog/if-upgrading-to-wordpress-3-1-results-in-404-pages-not-found/
Carefully follow these instructions and everything should work just fine.

In reply to: Create a blog on a static pageDo you have an example of what you’re talking about?
Here’s what I always do: Create 2 pages in WP. One called Home and one called Blog. Under the settings menu, I look for reading. I select display posts on page and set the Blog page to display posts.
Make sure you disable comments/backlinks on the blog PAGE. Then save the changes and try to start blogging. Everything should work out.
If you want an introduction to your blog, you can always make a ‘sticky’ post and leave it up for a while.
Hope this helps,
Debra

In reply to: Button Images Not Displaying?I think I found the problem.
Your source code references the button as being located here: https://californiabiotechnologylaw.com/wp-content/themes/californiabiotechlaw/img/bz1.gif
When actually, it’s located here:
https://californiabiotechlaw.com/wp-content/themes/californiabiotechlaw/img/bz1.gifIn the first domain name, you fully spelled out technology but in the second, it’s only ‘tech’.
Hope this helps,
Debra

In reply to: When is WP SEO Friendly?Tampering with the theme coding won’t matter too much. What does matter is using strong titles and keywords. You can install SEO plugins to help. I use All in One SEO which got me ranked pretty fast. But it’s not the only SEO plugin out there.

In reply to: date on permalinksDavid, when you schedule your post, the date in the permalink will change automatically. Write your post like your normally would then select the date it will be published on.
Hit ‘Schedule’ and if you look at the permalink below your post title, you’ll see that it’s changed to the future date.
Hope this helps,
Debra
