In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Plan info@maxtemp asked: “Is Backup Daily plan…”
@madhattersez, you answered Yes. Which means Backup Daily plan is. But then you name Security Daily. So… you meant No when you said Yes?
The Plan Comparison page you cite it leaves out the Backup Daily plan.
These are 2 examples of how frustrating it is to deal with JetPakck and decide. It’s not good documentation or support and frankly, is driving me crazy and preventing me from purchasing for myself and recommending for clients and friends.

In reply to: [Customizr] BBpress with CustomizrRita, mark as closed.
@robin-labadie To create a child theme download the Childify plugin and use it. It takes seconds to create. You activate and customize the child theme. This way you can update Customizr without losing your customizations. It has nothing to do with creating a theme or any template or custom post type.
Sorry @andreas-2013 but I have no idea how to do what you seek. I just wanted to set the record straight regarding Robin’s words.

In reply to: [Customizr] Blog featured photo not showing properlyI am afraid that I am out of my area of knowledge. There are several versions of the theme and I don’t know the details of each of them. There are different views options that you can choose. I recommend looking in the customizer section and going over them all carefully seeing what each does. I am certain there is a guide to help you with this. You can search for it on their site. Or maybe someone else who works for them I can take over and help.
I wish you much luck with this. It’s a great theme.

In reply to: [Customizr] Blog featured photo not showing properlyFirst you crop to the required dimensions. That’s proportion. Then you Export or Save As and choose a much lower size and resolution. 250×270 (or is it 270×250). This isn’t a WP thing; it’s a learning how to use image software. You don’t want more pixels than the requirement.
I recommend a cropping software. Or a great photo software:

$49 Mac or Win, $20 iPadOr on Mac, something like this:
https://64bitapps.com/how-to-batch-resize-pictures-on-mac-os-x/
There are others at 64bit and also other places. Also that you keep the size of photos smaller. 1000px looks perfectly good on a screen.
Hope this helps.

In reply to: [Customizr] Blog featured photo not showing properlyWe’re supposed to create one image to spec size for the Featured and use a regular sized image for the page. This is true of all themes.

In reply to: [Customizr] Customizr: Custom CSS not savingIf you didn’t create and work within a Child Theme, it may have been lost during an update. (I’m not sure if this is true for that Custom CSS.) Maybe someone else can elaborate by letting us know if it is.
Did you create a child theme and make it the active theme?

In reply to: [Customizr] Responsive Design on Mobile and TabletHi @jgardonis
When you use a sidebar, the sidebar “pulls” below (or above if you program that) the main column. So I believe that if you don’t use any sidebar, just use full width for the main page, you should accomplish that similar look. It appears that this is what you’ve done.
The menu always turns into a “Hamburger menu” at the breakpoint for a tablet and smartphone. I’m not sure if or how you can prevent that to maintain your look. I think if you hand code your menus instead of using the WordPress/Customizr menu control and keep the official menu empty, don’t create one.
I think you can keep your logo left with a control in the Customize area.
(I’m not with Customizr but am a user and have built websites since 1986.)

In reply to: [Customizr] animated gif logoI can tell you that I have an animated gif as the logo on a site using the classic design in Pro.
It’s a very slow dissolved between 3 images so you have to watch a while to notice it.

In reply to: [Customizr] dynamic sidebar reordering not workingI use the Jetpack conditionals heavily at IWOSC.org but on the right side and I don’t have a left sidebar. You can see it by comparing the home page with an upcoming event page with a past events page.
Rocco, would he be in better shape to use the modern version?

In reply to: [Customizr] dynamic sidebar reordering not workingI wonder, Rocco, what if he used the JetPack conditional widgets feature?
Sam, maybe turn that on and see if it helps?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Customizr] Last item in mobile menu is cutting offI can’t recall exactly where but in the Customize interface there’s a place to check a box. It’s something about limiting the menu to the screen size.
You could use the right side bar. It pulls Bullo if your content.
Otherwise you need to learn a bit about the framework and how to tell the left column to pull left, I think it is. However I don’t remember what to tell you tell you exactly to do.Difficult and I believe will be problematic. Also too odd for a site to have browser windows half empty. Instead consider choosing the post size full width no sidebars and enjoy filling the the full with.
