Nope, not using that plugin. The bowser is Waterfox. But chrome gives the same problem. That java console shows:

Well, it was not that much to do. The data tabel removal did not do the trick. Uninstalling/reinstalling neither. The console says:

Hi Brian,
I am running all plugins for a while now. I just never had the urge to modify the dashboard. By now I wanted to re-arrange stuff and ran into the “read-only mode”. That’s the best way I can describe it. I disabled all plugins and it went to RW again. Then started enabling until the problem was back. Wordfence was the switch. I could try disabling all but Wordfence to rule out a combination between it and another. Will try the cleanup also. I am about to go on vacation, so it may take a while for me to get back on this.

Never mind, that is not a guarantee I noticed.

I started deleting then one-by-one for now, but I noticed they all have status “source file unavailable”. Maybe some maintenance table option to delete all where no source file is available???

Hi, as far as I know, it will restart a step in the total backup job that might have timed out on the server. All I can say is: try version 3.1.2, that works fine for me. All after that causes me problems.

I did use an external cron facility to at least make sure my time is synced. Please read https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/backwpup/faq/ about this:

BackWPup uses WordPress’ own cron job system (WP Cron) to execute scheduled backup jobs. In order for WordPress to “know” when to execute a job, its “inner clock” needs to be set regularly. That happens whenever someone (including yourself) visits your site. If your site happens to not being visited for a period of time, WordPress’ inner clock gets sort of slow. In that case it takes an extra server-side cron job to regularly call https://your-site.tld/wp-cron.php and tell WordPress what time it is.

Not sure what the big problem is… Changes made to version 3.1.3 broke things. It should not be that hard to troubleshoot…

3.1.3, 3.1.4 and 3.1.5-beat2 will not allow me to create backups anymore. There are several threads about these problems already. I went back to 3.1.2 and at least can make backups again.

Final observation… version 3.1.2 works flawlessly, after that, trouble starts.

OK, version 3.1.2 allowed me to uncheck the “restart after each job step” option. 3.1.3 allowed me to make a ood backup again. WIll try 3.1.4 now with the restart flagged uncheckek deep down below.

Similar problem here. There are several thread adressing similsr problms. Unfortunately no actual fix yet.
