In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Quic Cloud is Messing Around AgainHi @qtwrk
As per the instructions given out by Shortpixel. I’ve turned all of the image optimization options in LSC to ‘off’, so no images are currently running through LSC.
It’s just this CDN issue that seems to be giving problems – how long does it take the QC support team to reply, Seeing as in the QC blurbs, the CDN is Quic Cloud’s flagship service (god help anything that is not a flagship service)
Also, where is the option to ‘bypass CDN’?

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Quic Cloud is Messing Around AgainHi @qtwrk
Thanks for the reply, however, do I really need Quic Cloud for image optimisation now?
I’m using either the ‘Basic’ or ‘Advanced’ preset in LSC at present, and also, I’m using Shortpixel to optimize my images as LSC cannot be trusted to optimise them into either .webp or avif files correctly.
The only thing that I’m using Quic Cloud therefore, is for it’s CDN, but if that keeps giving out 520 errors, would it be better to just remove my doman key and kick it out?
I’ve contacted the QC support channel by the way and pointed them to this forum thread.

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Deferring Cache for Google News SitemapHi @qtwrk
So it’s ok to plod on with then?
And what’s the website that you pulled the above doc from, as I couldn’t find one anywhere?

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Deferring Cache for Google News SitemapHi @qtwrk
Ok so I’ve sent over TWO reports, the first one being – DSYWDRES
… and the second one being – QRGCXSLF – which contains a passwordless link.
The first report contains links to my two present sitemaps (one normal one and a video one) plus the link to my News sitemap.

I cannot see anything in the response header except for a ‘miss’ by x-qc-cache.
However, going over to the news sitemap, it’s showing: cache-control no-cache no-store must-revalidate max-age=0

Right, I’ve just done that, so I can start publishing a few Google News posts now then.
Thanks for the assistance!

In reply to: [WordPress Popular Posts] Got the Bugger Back!Hi @hcabrera
I’m not touching anymore of Gutenberg, so I’ll stick with the shortcode.
Seems that the code superimposed on the old widget was a godsend after all.
One thing that hasn’t come back thogh is the sidebar widget with thumbnails the recent posts widget and the random posts widget (both using WPP) are still live, but the popular (trending) posts widget seems to have died.
*edit*
I tell a lie – I also found a superimposed code in the sidebar widget.
This code didn’t seem to be as twitchy as the one on the full page, as I just added the code to a text widget and again, it worked first time.

Yeah, I should have mentioned ‘with the help of the extension manger with a couple of extensions added to it’.
Consider this thread as solved, with the aid of the Extension Manager

In reply to: [Social Sharing Plugin - Sassy Social Share] Plugin Remains BrokenI realise that it’s like smashing a walnut with a sledgehammer, but I’ve thrown Super Socialiser onto my website and removed Sassy Social Share, and the first plugin works fine for me.

In reply to: [Social Sharing Plugin - Sassy Social Share] Plugin Remains BrokenJust rolled back to version 3.3.61, and its working perfectly again, vis-a-vis:
Hi @wp_media
Sorry, but as mentioned earlier, I’ve closed my account and walked out.
Some pretty lame excuses above, aren’t there?
They’re akin to WP Rocket’s excuses for making my website take over ten seconds to load a page.
I did use Imagify a couple of years ago with none of the above problems, but this new version is awful.
Those five images have finally optimised – so now it’s time to cancel my account and go elsewhere.
