Fixed. It was the side effect of another plug-in (Gallery Optimizer)

I did submit the bug to the development team of NextGen Pro and I also created a clone of my blog to allow them to do experiments with it, but they are currently very busy with the development of new beta release so that now they have no time to work on it. I gave a look at NextGen Pro code and I honestly think that is not written so well. They too often assume that a function exists or that it returns a valid value. They do not check if everything is ok and they do not make use of try/exception mechanism. So the code is really weak. Anyway, I had no success to troubleshoot the plugin myself. The problem is that this situation is preventing me too use other Pro features, as for instance the Masonry layout. Also, the new mechanism (NOT based on shortcodes) that Pro is using does not work for me. I can only use the original NextGen shortcodes, not the advance ones. I like NextGen and I hoped that purchasing Pro I had real advantages, but at the moment this is not true. ??

PS I do not understand something.. how many NextGen authors are there?

Mark, the guide you recommended just mix the old and new NextGen files in the same folder. I think thi is quite a dirty and risky method from programming perspective. Since legacy code exists in version 2.0, is there any flag to use the legacy code in \nextgen-gallery\products\photocrati_nextgen\modules\ngglegacy instead? It would be a cleaner approach.

I have seen Social Gallery Mobile, but I do not like that. I think that SG is a good plug-in but still too limited for mobile devices, even with add-ons. Furthermore it has some bugs, for example, if I click on an image on NextGen Widget in sidebar, and move left or right beyond the first and last image in selection, it enters in an infinitive loop.

I received your email, thank you. You asked me why I installed SGLite, but I wasn’t able to reply to your email. It does not work.

I am using Social Gallery Lite on my newer photography and poetry site, based on NextGen Gallery, just published today ( https://portfolio.dejudicibus.it ). I am still working with the child them of Twenty-Fourteen I created and I think that I will use the first weeks to tune the site and improve style and layout. In the meantime I will experiment with Social Gallery Lite to understand which advantages might have to move to Pro version.

I have currently a problem: when I publish a comment in Facebook, SG just publish a link to the image, but it is not what I want. I want that the link will take FB’s friends to the same SG popup to inser other comments and to see the whole site, but I have not find any option about in Lite or Pro docs. Did I miss anything?

I also would like to understand if Pro is really responsive. This is a must for me.

Is it possible to add an option to select which URL should be used. I see three valuable choices:

FULL, that is, full url as in permalink: {url}
SHORT, that is, the url based on post ID: {s-url}
TINY, that is, an url based on TinyURL (or similar service): {t-url}

TINY is great for Twitter whereas FULL is better for FaceBook.
