In reply to: Comments Off, wp-comments-post renamed, Still Spam!Alright, I’m getting to that “About to just say screw it and remove word-press” point now -_-, I’ve been fudging with this for hours and i’m soooo sick of it, and really need to break something to relieve myself.
I’ve added akismet but ufortunately, my API key doesnt show anywhere in the [ my account ] page, and why cant it just go…
I apologise for going a bit off topic, and I really appreciate your help.
Edit: Alright, I’ve followed the poorly labelled links and I’ve got it all working, one wonders what the point of being forced to register for a proprietary number that doesnt seem to offer any advantages is, but cest la vie.
Cheers, and thanks for your help. Hopefully, now the spam will stop. I’ll update you later to let you know.
Thanks again,

In reply to: Comments Off, wp-comments-post renamed, Still Spam!Adeco, thanks! I ended up actually solving it a few seconds before i checked this by completetely removing ( acually moving) the comments file, it managed to find it even when it was renamed anyway.
Anyway, i would like to have comments, and am looking for the option to turn of trackbacks. I feel silly asking where it is, but uh… Where do i turn this off ^^;;…
If turning off TB’s doesnt fix it then i’ll definately install bad-behaviour.
We’re probably suffering the same attacks. Grrr!
Edit: I found the option, but alas, it’s already turned off -_-, It appears that I must have it enabled for most previous posts manually, which is going to be a pain in the butt to go through and change *tears*
Edit 2: Is there anyway to force a global allow/deny for comments/trackbacks?
