In reply to: [Subtitles] Subtitles not appearing in previewsForgive my brevity and not knowing how to upload a screenshot. The screen shot looks just like the WP editor’s preview of this page, but minus the subtitle.
https://p5group.com/blogging-coaching/When I add a subtitle and hit Preview, the preview does not show the subtitle I just added.
However after I have Updated, the preview (and the live page) show the subtitle.

In reply to: [Simple Ads Manager] Cannot create or edit post in Visual modeNever know. Changed plugins.
Adding:
When saving a User Profile after installing v.3.1.12 CTCT plugin, white screen with error message–“Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/09/8562309/html/wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-api/classes/class.ctct_process_form.php on line 229
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/09/8562309/html/wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-api/classes/class.ctct_process_form.php:229) in /home/content/09/8562309/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1228″
Error does not appear after deactivating CTCT.
CTCT claims to have tested the plugin and recommends it. I’m confused as to why.
UPDATE: I called and got the ISP (GoDaddy) to upgrade the server to use PHP 5.4 and the v3 plugin is now installed. And Google OAuth still does not work.

In reply to: [Plugin Notes] 4.4.1 1.6: List of plugins breaks when this one is activatedI read your response, jrf. I’m not able to do more troubleshooting for you. I’ve fixed the problem by deleting your plugin. For my purposes, that was the *one* plugin causing the conflict. None of my other plugins are going to be removed just to make this one work for me.
Thanks marktmattson. That sure sealed it for me.

In reply to: [Plugin Notes] 4.4.1 1.6: List of plugins breaks when this one is activatedIf there’s an easy way to dump a list of active plugins, I’ll do that much for you.
Yes, when Visual opens by default, the brackets in php are altered before you can switch to Text. Your plugin allows some php syntax to be inserted, but not all.
The Visual editor leaves html tags but changes other brackets. Maybe it could be amended to classify certain strings, ->, like html tags?
Incorporate an option to force WP to open by default in Text, or certain pages as Text?
Copy code when a page is opened for editing, and add a “fix” button to paste it back unaltered?
Recommend an alternative visual editor that behaves better?
make that…Visual mode converts the brackets to

In reply to: [AutoChimp] Can anyone recommend something other than Autochimp?MailChimp actually promotes this plug-in on their site and says they’ve tested it. Maybe they shouldn’t? https://mailchimp.com/contact/

In reply to: New comments not appearing in pending queueThanks @jfisher2709 for the lead. We updated plugins including Jetpack. Now comments are working with Akismet activated. I regret that we didn’t update each one individually and test comments after each update. So this info does not isolate Jetpack and/or Akismet as the problem. Here’s the list of plugins we updated, maybe future searchers will find a correlation:
jetpack
wordpress-seo
wp-simple-textboxes
simple-ads-manager
recent-facebook-posts
read-more-copy-link
contact-form-7Akismet was updated in mid August, which is about when the problem may have started. WordPress has no maintenance history function at all, so I have no way of knowing everything else was updated at the same time as Akismet. The really-simple-captcha plugin was updated then; we do not use it on comments.

In reply to: New comments not appearing in pending queueThanks for your reply. This site has 12 other plugins and a modified Simplethemes theme. I’m certain thousands of others are using Askimet successfully. As soon as I have half a day to spend in trial and error I will try to isolate the conflict. However disabling Askimet did immediately solve the problem at hand, so at least the site is processing comments correctly in the meantime.
THE PROBLEM WAS the default “Facebook id” — it was pre-filled with yours, dannyvankonencom, so it was pulling your feed. (Interesting, I could pull anyone’s public feed this way?)
I changed the field to my Facebook page’s ID, energyprioritiesmag, and refreshed the cache again. Now it is pulling my page feed.
I’m sure this was somewhere in the instructions and I missed it, sorry for the trouble.
