I have to agree with @arjanolsder.
The plugin is really great but it’s simply too expensive for a site with a blog. I’ll have to look for a cheaper alternative, even though it seems that it’s hard to find a good one.

I found the error. The sub-category “Beverages” was missing.

I’m not sure why it was missing from the feed, but I tried re-adding the categories and now it works. The sub category is there and I get no errors ??

I received feedback from Google. They’re saying the the system has trouble recognising the product categories, which might have something to do with the XML-formating. They are recommending that I try with category IDs instead, which are found on this page: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/160081

Can I do that with your plugin?
