Many thanks @bozdoz for your quick reply.
I thought there maybe would be an easy tutorial how to get coordinates from the website database into the leaflet-map.
But maybe that’s not a common case ??
I will look for another solution…
Kind regards,
MirkoDear Tim,
thanks for your quick reply!
I have a user registration process with double-opt-in already for members of our association.
But I would like to let non-registered users submit events by “Anonymous Event Submissions” so they don’t have to register.
It would be great if the anonymous submitter would have to enter his email-address when creating an event and if this email-address could be verified then by an automated email including a link for verification.
Does anyone see any possibilities to have a smart work-around to realise this?
Kind regards,

Dear Tim,
thanks very much for your reply and your efforts.
I set up a new test installation of WordPress with only Agama Theme and Events Manager installed.
Adding/deactivating Restrict-Content-Plugin then didn’t make any difference.
Finally it appeared that “Events Manager – OpenStreetMaps” Plugin by Stonehenge Creations is the cause of the problem.
Sorry that I forgot to mention that I had this plugin also installed/activated.
Do you think there is anything that you can do about it or should I contact Stonehenge Creations?
Kind regards,
MirkoHello again,
even stranger now: the social media icons are visible (in the social media top menu and below the content) if I restrict the content using “Restrict Content” plugin, as you can see here:
https://bundesverband-smart-city.org/veranstaltungen/test-2If I leave the content unrestricted, icons are not shown in the social media top menu and also not below the content:
https://bundesverband-smart-city.org/veranstaltungen/testI know maybe it’s an uncommon constellation and maybe EventsManager is not the cause but I wonder that only EventsManager content is affected by this problem.
Hi,
thanks for your quick reply.
Sorry again for my stupidity. It was obvious that it’s part of the theme. It seems I was struck with blindness due to my bad cold ??I will look at the theme to deactivate it in general.
But thanks for the hint to change which template Events Manager use.
Kind regards
Hi,
thanks for your quick reply.
You’re absolutely right and I’m very sorry for my stupidity!
Of course the sharing buttons are provided by the Theme (Agama Pro). The strange thing is, that the animated icons work on all other pages and articles except the EM-calendar event view as you can see here:
https://bundesverband-smart-city.org/veranstaltungen/testAny idea?
Kind regards
Hello again,
since the website I was talking about in the beginning has been going live in the meantime completely without Events-Manager anyone can check the problem on my testing-website I mentioned before: https://s644016482.online.de/event-submission
Kind regards
Hello again,
I’ve made a whole new installation of WordPress (5.0.3) with a simple theme and no plugins except events-manager.
I’ve made changes to the French and Italian language files but they also don’t apply.
Has anyone tried to change the language and change the texts of the submission form for that specific language?
Kind regards
Thanks Angelo for your reply.
I think it would be the proper solution to find out, why the translation file doesn’t work right away, what do you think?
Dear Tim,
if you look at the event submission form on the page https://bvsc.apps-1and1.net/veranstaltungen/veranstaltung-empfehlen you’ll find a term “Titel der Veranstaltung. Beispiel: Geburtstagsparty” (meaning “Title of the event. Example: Birthdayparty).
If you search within all language files you’ll find only 2 that contain the word “Geburtstagsparty”:
wp-content/languages/plugins/events-manager-de_DE.po
wp-content/plugins/events-manager/includes/langs/events-manager-de_DE.poI replaced serveral words like also the word “Geburtstagsparty” within both files but no changes apply, as you can see…
Dear Tim,
here is the link to the submission form containing the texts I’d like to change: https://bvsc.apps-1and1.net/veranstaltungen/veranstaltung-empfehlen
Kind regards
I also replaced wp-content/plugins/events-manager/includes/langs/events-manager-de_DE.po now but still no changes…
Dear Patrick,
thanks for your quick reply.
Yes it is that file you mention I replaced:
/wp-content/languages/plugins/events-manager-de_DE.poDoesn’t work.
You wrote “also”: is there any other location where this file is usually put?
Kind regards
Hi Thierry,
thanks for your quick reply.
I use Agama Pro and the project is too advanced already to replace the theme now.
Best,
Mirko
