In reply to: [User Toolkit] switch to redirect?Hi @matthias70,
The plugin redirects using the URL returned by user_admin_url() and there is no other modification in the process. I suspect there may be a conflict with another plugin or setting you may have in your website.
Please try deactivating your plugins (specially if you know of one that have redirects or security rules) or send me a list of the plugins you have and I can try to set something alike here in my local env and try to find the issue. It’s easier the first approach because can be a specific setting you have.If there is a compatibility issue with any plugin I’ll be happy to fix it if it’s feasible.
Thanks your too for using the plugin. I really hope this get solved.

In reply to: [User Toolkit] Deactivating users: what’s the criteria?Oh, that’s why.
In release 1.1.2 I fixed an issue that allows disabling the first user created and fixed an issue that disabled the user when editing their own profile.
You should be fine now. If you don’t mind I’ll mark this ticket as resolved. Feel free to create new tickets if you find another issue or have issues with this one again.
Regarding the translation file. I see you submitted the translation file. It should be approved soon. If not, I can include the file in the languages folder in the plugin. Let’s wait and see.
Thanks!

In reply to: [User Toolkit] Deactivating users: what’s the criteria?@rghedin there was a bug in previous releases that allowed you to deactivate your own user. I know that was crazy, was unintentional. It’s already fixed. Is this happened to you using the latest version?
Only user ID: 1 is read-only. I’m interested in knowing your specific case. Perhaps we have another bug I haven’t found it yet.
Users are not deactivated by default yet and there’s no action to deactivate users but the ones you already know. I’ll take a deep look again, anyway.
Please upgrade the plugin in case you haven’t already and let me know how it goes.

In reply to: [User Toolkit] The missing link@wilcosky I found the issue related to WP User Manager and it’s very likely the same was happening with WP Ulike Pro. Both plugins can restrict access to wp-login.php in settings and User Toolkit was relying on a hook on that page to make the switch.
I’m glad to confirm it’s fixed and tested several times.

In reply to: [User Toolkit] The missing link@wilcosky thanks for your feedback. I installed both plugins, activated them one by one, and tested them, enabling all possible features. Even logged in using the plugin login form. In both case I was able to switch users and get back to the previous user without issues.
I really want to find and fix any possible conflict but haven’t succeeded in finding one. Perhaps you can help me there, in case you are interested. We can test it together using your websites.
In https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-toolkit/ you can find further info regarding the cookies. The plugin force a login using the standard process in WordPress and adds two extra cookies for tracking and be able to return to the previous user.
- wp_usrtk_user_from_{COOKIEHASH}
- wp_usrtk_user_switched_{COOKIEHASH}
Looking forward to hear more from you on this, in case you can, of course.
Thanks for the review ??

In reply to: [User Toolkit] The missing linkHi, @wilcosky I’m glad to know you found the plugin useful. Also want to thank you for taking the time to do a review and with positive opinions.
Regarding the cookie issue. This plugin was reviewed by Nathan Ingram from iThemes Training and during the live demo, he had a similar issue. After multiple tests, we found it was an issue with some plugins installed on his website. That leads me to do multiple tests even after I did so many tests before publishing the plugin. However I can’t guaranty that another plugin will no introduce a conflict or even min can do.
That’s why I respectfully want to ask you in you can send me the list of the plugins you are using to try to reproduce the same scenario and see if something fails.
You can also try disabling all your plugins, or in groups, or one by one, and see if still fails. I really want to find the root cause of this so any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks!

In reply to: [User Toolkit] Plugin’s CSS is being loaded on front-endNo worries!
Perhaps I can create a conditional loading in the next release.
