In reply to: How to: Custom post/page backgrounds?Thank you! You were close on the code, it was enough for me to research why it wasn’t quite working. There was a little missing code.
; background-repeat:
This needed to go between the last parenthesis and the no-repeat.
It did put an image behind the text, but it doesn’t work quite like the example theme. The code needs something else to make it stretch to fit and the text goes edge to edge, there needs to be a margin too.

In reply to: Looking for specific type themes?–> That’s not how WordPress works.
I know that’s not how WP works. If I can’t find a theme that works, then I want to make my own html site without using WP.

–> Browse the themes at https://www.ads-software.com/themes
Done this and can’t find anything other than bootstrap style themes.
Just wondering if anyone is going to help me with this, or if this is going to be an unresolved issue?
Nothing has been changed in the wp-config.php file from the current version of WP that redirects vs. the older version I am running now that doesn’t redirect.
How would I know if they are defined correctly in wp-config.php?
I don’t know why they wouldn’t be defined correctly since it works on an older version, but not the latest version of WP.
No, I haven’t done any redirects.
I did a fresh install with two domain names one as the main and one as pointed. I used version 4.4.1 and couldn’t figure out why my pointed domain was redirecting. I contacted my hosting co. and they said it was wordpress, so I did another brand new install to test on a different server and the same thing, so I downgraded to an older version of WP and now the domain is acting like it should when a domain is pointed.
Is this a bug in WP?

In reply to: Using two domains with new version 4.4.1I don’t want WP to handle my domain names for me. I want control over whether they are pointed or redirected.
I have spent a lot of time cleaning up my WP admin panel after installing recommended plugins that only seem to clutter the admin panel.

In reply to: [Editor Tabs] [Plugin: Editor Tabs] Missing editor fields after uninstallI can’t seem to get my missing fields back. How do you reactivate the screen options under new post?
Wish I never would have installed this plugin.
As far as some of the recommended plugins. I don’t remember which ones, as I uninstalled them, but I was getting some weird error code at the bottom of one of the pages. I did play around with it for a while.
I agree WP is the easiest system. But the main thing I like about PHP Fusion is the categories are on a page rather than an area, like the widgets are in WP. If a category widget could be added to a page and be able to have multiple columns for several categories that would be nice and if the posts could be separated in a category rather than all on the same category page that would be awesome!
I have not figured out a way to do this. If you could implement these into your plugin that would be a great thing!
The image is the default image. I never changed it, I didn’t know I was supposed to change it.
The problem with tabbed browsing with WP is that if you update a page and view it in another tab then WP continues to autosave. So, for example I deleted a sample post using your plug-in with the recommended plugins and had multiple tabs open. One of the plugins then continued to redirect my site to the post that I deleted showing me a page not found. It took me awhile going through numerous plugins to figure out which one was causing the problem.
I have no idea what or how to use some of the recommended plugins, such as Pods, and Reusables. What are these things, and what should they be used for?
My favorite recommended plugin, which I may have never found otherwise is the Ozh drop down menu. I had been thinking that it would be nice to have a drop down menu at the top rather than the side menu.
Glad that worked! It took me months of trying to figure out the same problem before I got it fixed.
I had this problem with a forum I was using in Firefox, some of the table divider lines were missing. Somehow the view settings got messed up only on that particular page. In Firefox go to —> View —> Zoom —> Reset. You should be good to go.
Hope this works for you, it did for me.

In reply to: My site has been hijacked-please helpHere’s what was happening. Which is really strange. I was hosting a site for a friend. They owned the domain name, the domain expired. So, I removed the domain name from my addon domains, when I saw the hijack on my site. I don’t know what the regstrar did, but even though I removed the addon domain the registrar was still able to hijack my site somehow. I had to rename the folder that contained the WP files in order for my site to work again. When I renamed the folder and went to the renamed folder, I could see it trying to hijack again, but then the page loaded normally. So apparently it had something to do with all the files in my site having the domain name attached to them. Does anyone have any information as to why this would happen even after removing an addon domain?
Beware of Network Solutions. An expired domain from Network Solutions messed up my site and caused me to spend a lot of extra hours fixing things.

In reply to: My site has been hijacked-please helpIf I rename each .htaccess file, will it cause any other problems on my site?
I did follow the steps in the guide. Those failed, that’s why I resorted to posting for help. I can’t figure it out. I will try the .htaccess file renaming next. I’ve looked at them to make sure they haven’t been changed and none of them have any weird redirects in them.

In reply to: [Plugin: WPaudio MP3 Player] Browser problemI don’t have Kill-Flash install on my computer. I checked it using Firefox on a Mac and it doesn’t work on that either. But, I have it working on other sites using the same hosting. Why would it be specific to this one site I have?

In reply to: [Plugin: WPaudio MP3 Player] Browser problemIt works for me in Chrome and Safari on Windows XP, but I can’t get it to play using Firefox. I have it working on another site in Firefox, but on the site I’m working on now. I can’t get it to play. It also works for me using Safari on a Mac. Any ideas why it would work on one site, but not another site using the same browser?
I have these other plugins installed, could there be a conflict?
