I’ll go for ‘countdown’ … ??
P.S.: Yeah, I thought it might be the minus (or the brackets).

In reply to: [Simple Yearly Archive] CSS on every page?Oops, now that you said so, I checked again and noticed that it’s only your HTML comment that appears just above some theme CSS … it did look like the comment for the immediately following CSS though. ??
Sorry, my bad.

In reply to: Troubleshooting a Gravatar issue (different ones shown)Update: On those (old) comments that do NOT show the correct gravatar image, none of my four mail addresses that all have the same gravatar image work.
It is baffeling, to say the least.
What I’m wondering is the following: could there be any old plugin data in the database that I imported that could be blocking the correct display for these old posts? I did play around with at least one avatar/gravatar plugin on the old site, ages ago.

In reply to: Troubleshooting a Gravatar issue (different ones shown)Thanks for your help!
I know what you mean, and I tested it a thousand times, but … no. No typo, no space, no difference in letters.
There’s an easy way to check. I just copied the address over from my gravatar profile and pasted it into an old comment that won’t show the gravatar … same problem. The correct gravatar won’t show.
If I then post a new comment (logged in or logged out) and paste that same address in there, the avatar shows.
Weird, isn’t it?

In reply to: Troubleshooting a Gravatar issue (different ones shown)P.S.: I don’t know how to post a screenshot here (which is also not of much use since I blurred the mail info), but I prepared one from my WP admin comments page where I have two comments from myself below each other. They are completely identical with name, mail and site information (the comment content is different) and they both show up on the site.
But already in the admin, one shows the correct Gravatar image (it’s also used here on this site) the other one the “Mystery Man” one.

In reply to: Bulk changing post formatThanks, Rod.
I’ll give that a try.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Post Index] [Plugin: Post Index] Alphabetical order of postsP.S.: No, the colon “:” is OK, I just saw.
It was a post with quotation marks ” “.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Post Index] [Plugin: Post Index] Alphabetical order of postsNice plugin, but I have the same problem.
Any posts that, for example, contain “special” characters like three full stops “…”, a colon “:” or stuff like that, makes your plugin pull the entire section with all posts grouped under that letter out of the plugin stream” and places them out of alphabetical order (as far as I can tell, in the beginning).
So, if one of four posts under “Z” has, for example, “…”, and all the other posts are fine, “Z” will land at the top of the page. If “F” has a post with a “:” in it, the order will be:
F (faulty post title somewhere in there)
Z (faulty post title in there somewhere”
A
B
C
D
E… and so on.Hope this helps.

In reply to: Feed Gone /Rewrite Problem?God, I’m dumb.

Being logged in, I just forgot that it was running.
*blush*
Resolved.

In reply to: Feed Gone /Rewrite Problem?Oh, and the comments/feed/ doesn’t work either, of course.

In reply to: Feed Gone /Rewrite Problem? Thanks for replying, danielascher.
Same result.
If I do that though (url/rss), the page address changes to https://xxxyyy.com/feed/rss. I guess it should that?In Firefox, the resulting page is completely empty.
In IE 9 I get an empty page, but at least it shows some … well … code. ??
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" http-equiv=Content-Type></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>
I’ve also tried all the possible suggestions on the WordPress Codex, the result is always the same.
I’ve also tried copying the wp-feed.php to the child theme menu folder, just for kicks (and removed it again), but no result.
My entire theme works smoothly: Posts, categories, plugins, etc.
As far as I can tell, only the feeds don’t work … at all.At the moment, I just don’t know where to look.
I’ll try anything anyone can throw at me.
Thanks for your help so far.
You’re welcome.
And thanks for a great (!) plugin that helps me keep a responsive layout, well, … responsive. ??
My bad.
Found the problem.I had deleted
<?php wp_footer(); ?>
Duh.
Please ignore my stupid post above.
*embarrassed*
*blush*P.S.: At least I found the problem. ??
