Mainly Text/Buttons in the front page. but would be nice to have it for blocks, images and even forms.

Typical example is in the slider, the call to action buttons animated with fade in.

I guess I can implement it with css, I am just curious if it is available from the theme.

You have to add your menu to Simple Sticky Header on Scroll through the menu section.

Then it will appear at the header as well

If I remember well it was the About Front Page widget that doesn’t save new pages setup. If you change the pages shown then they are not saved. I’ve used only the suggested plugins and nothing extra.

As I said it is a good template with many customization possibilities, simply it is not my style. If you could look at this bug, it is a very good option.
