In reply to: Blockquotes are different sizesyeah, Beel, that’s the way I do it. I just hard break to the next line and begin my blockquote.
Ahh…it’s weird. that’s all I know.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Blockquotes are different sizes“Beel”: that’s odd, I don’t personally use the “p” tag…ever. Is WordPress adding a “p” tag in there somewhere, I wonder?
===
“MacManX”: yes, that’s they way I try to write my blockquotes when I hand-code. Otherwise, I use the blockquote button “quick tag” in the WP panel.
===
“podz”: that’s the way I try to write them. Sometimes WP does it the “Don’t” way… and I try to correct.

Thanks everyone… and “Junesix”, thanks for that heads-up. I’ll check my code again. But it’s odd that a “p” tag would be anywhere in my posts, because I only use the quick-tags, or hand-code quick-tags and not html tags.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Trackbacks aren’t working on my blogOkay, Kafkaesqui, it’s done, just as outlined.
That fixed the URI for the trackback to the proper style, but when I enter that URL in the browser and press go, I get a HTTP 404 “The page cannot be found” error.
aren’t the trackback URI’s supposed to resolve to the post itself?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WP URI & Blog URI?Wouldn’t WordPress URI and Blog URI be the same?

In reply to: Counting trackbacksHow can I get trackbacks/pingbacks to work correctly and show on my blog???
I’ve tried everything from ScriptyGoddess’ Separating Comments/Trackbacks to Eric Meyers’ MW Comments/Trackbacks plug-in.
Nothing is working. In fact, my default permalink structure is like this:https://voices.dewaun.com/index.php?p=273
but my trackback structure show’s to be like this:
https://voices.dewaun.com/wp-trackback.php/273
and when I enter the trackback URL in a browser, it returns a PAGE NOT FOUND error.
I’m using the default permalink structure so there’s no rewrite_mod info to update my .htaccess file with in the OPTIONS > PERMALINKS panel.

In reply to: Breadcrumb hack for WP1.2?Correct, so…
1. How do I make the “breadcrumb.php” plug-in work that is mentioned in the Wiki?
I uploaded the breadcrumbs.php in my Plugins panel. What next?
moshu: yeah, i agree with you on the (stuck) thing. That header graphic is in my css style and I don’t know how to add an image map around the blog name. I’ve made tons of image maps in Photoshop/ImageReady or GoLive, but none with PHP/CSS involved. The CSS calls and places the header image, not the page.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Insert tags when posting in cursorI’m a fan of Firefox, Camino and Safari, and am currently trying out Safari as my default browser. One thing that really miffs me is that Safari doesn’t support the QuickTags inserting at the cursor location.
Is there anything one can do to get Safari and WordPress to play better in this respect? I am using WP 1.2.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: PHP has encountered an Access ViolationYeah, Podz…it seemed to mysteriously “clear up” throughout the day. I dunno what it was.
