I’ve changed the php file with @crimsonguard notes.
And I’d like to see this working:

[past_events orderby="event_start_date" order="DESC"]

Thank you, even if I think that the orderBy event date, for both future and past events, it’s the base of a plugin of this kind. I appreciate if you can tell me when next update will be released, cause I have to promote something on my site, and without this it looks really “weird”.

For me it doesn’t even work orderby title – but I definitely need this feature too

I set the today date, then I manually edit it.
