You do NOT want to make any changes to your parent theme.
If you don’t have a child theme, I highly advise getting one, or at least using one of a dozen custom css plugins.
That said, have you a link to investigate?

I’ve decided to eliminate that particular accordion and use a more accessible “more tag.”

I’ll be honest with you, the more I bone up on accessibility, the more I realize I don’t know.

For example, I have a search form that the wave tool throws a duplicate labels error on. I’m pretty certain it can be remedied using aria-labelledby, but I’m not sure where and how I’d place it in the example below:

There aren’t any widgets.
Once you create a document and give permissions to whoever needs to see the message in “settings”, it should show up in your dashboard. If it’s not there, check the screen options drop-down on your dashboard. It may have been unchecked.

It may also be as simple as going to menus > manage locations > and simply reassigning your primary menu

Having the same issue. WP accessibility widget is available in widgets area, but a no-show when placed from there. It DOES show up when using the customiser.
