    Other users on the site see the & above as “& amp;”.

    This is what the published final post looks like:

    Other users on the site see “& amp;” and have to correct it for me because I can’t stop my ampersands from turning into “& amp;”.

    In the initial message I said the problem is happening to me. The problem is my ampersands turn into “& amp;” in text view but show up as regular &s in the final post – but other users of the site see it as “& amp;” in final posts. From text view, others see my &s as “& amp;”.

    I do not own the site, therefore I cannot deactivate plugins or switch themes – ive asked, but the person who can do this refuses.

    Only one of the other users for the site can do that and he’s refusing to. I also should have mentioned that this problem happens for me on different computers as well, like my laptop. Don’t know if that might be helpful information.

    Yes, anytime I type & for a post, it happens.

    Sorry for bumping this but I still need this question answered. I just want ampersands to stay as “&” when I type them – they started appearing as “& amp;” randomly one day. I’m talking in Text View. No one else using the same WordPress as me has this problem. While the “&”s show up in the Text View, they oddly don’t show up for me in the preview – other users of my WordPress tell me that these “&” appear for them however. This can’t be the first time this has ever happened to somebody.

    The code button was not pressed, otherwise “code” would be written there on the image inside the sideways carrots (< and >)

    Also I tried using my laptop and I get the same problem on there as well…
