Hey I’m having a similar problem here, can you help? I wanted to design a website and test it out before using my work domain that everyone could see (I use bluehost for my hosting). So I downloaded wordpress and used a subdomain that I named “test” in my root folder. I finished designing it and testing it on https://www.test.cosmiccoach.com, which worked great. Yesterday I transferred my files over to my work domain (www.davidharel.com). It didn’t seem to work, and now I don’t know what to do. I called customer service and they tried to walk me through editing the database to reflect the new URL, which I did under wp_options. Then I went to wp_posts and noticed that the url it listed was my test url from before. Customer service told me that I would need to correct that 117 times, and that even then it wouldn’t work for other reasons. I don’t understand because I was told many times that I could test out my wordpress site under a subdomain and that it would be no big deal to redirect when I was ready. My last idea was to reinstall wordpress on https://www.davidharel.com and hope that I could transfer the relevant files over from my test folder. However, I have no idea if this will work. Any help would be amazing, I put a lot of work into this website and would hate to have to redesign it from scratch!
