    Greetings,

I definitely see the issue with the order being off I use the menu order just like core would to order the attachments and use post parent like core does to add the attachment. It could be something I’m forgetting but it seems weird the order would change so drastically since I don’t believe I change the menu order. I am guessing you are using the WPML media transfer plugin too?

I will take a look on my end and see if I can replicate it with stock WordPress and WPML I’ve notice some weird issues when WPML duplicates posts it could be user error on my end though.

I do have two questions the first one is how are you outputting the slide is it a WordPress plugin or is it something more custom. If it’s custom with a custom query could you supply that query. The second question could you try disabling WPBA before you duplicate a post and then reactive it after to see what happens.

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Greetings,

Honestly, it has been a really long time since I have done anything with this plugin so hopefully this helps. I believe it still uses either a file input or a hidden input behind the scenes so you could check for the change of those inputs. Another option may be to check for the click of the button that may be a little if something goes wrong. I personally would go with another option if I wanted the page to refresh like a traditional form. Feel free to let me know if you need any more help.

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Greetings,

It seems like it should work however you shouldn’t have to do the first query. The wpba_attachment_list function will take care of that for you. I would also check if the first query is returning anything looks right but might as well check. If that doesn’t work let me know.

    Thanks,

Thanks for pointing that out, it was a typo that was copied over the last few releases. It should be updated now.

    Hi jasperguy,

Unfortunately there is no way to do that currently. I may consider adding a way in the future to alter the query.

    Thanks,

    Greetings,

More than likely it is because by default in WordPress an attachment can only be added to one post. So far I have not deferred but I would like to soon. So for the time being the only way to attach a file to more than one post is to re-upload the file for every post. Maybe try this out by making 2 draft posts and attaching a file to one then try attaching it to the other post to see what happens. Let me know what you find out or if you need any more help.

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Awesome!

Once again I apologize for the issue you experienced not being able to dismiss the notification I have a few things that would help me prevent this issue in the future

    1. if you could share how you fixed the issue it would be great. From what I can tell it seems like an issue outside of my control and if not I would like to update it.

    2. If you could share the theme it came recommended with I would like to contact the author to investigate further so this does not happen again. Preferably the authors support information if you have it.

    3. I would be interested to know if this is a single or a multsite install I ported the notification from another plugin that is basically all notifications. I have never experienced an issue with multsite but I honestly did not test it.

I find it odd that the first URL you posted uses https://halinasplace.com.au/ which 404s which instead it seems it should be https://imagery.halinasplace.com.au/ I could be wrong. It seems to be redirecting on the front end correctly but not on the backend. I am guessing you are using Cloudflare at some point to do this redirection I could be wrong might of just been an ad when it 404s.

I am going to go through the steps I do to get the URL to dismiss the notification this may not benefit you personally now but it is nice to have it spelled out in the open. I get the request URI, which should be the part after the URL which should be something like /wp-admin/post.php?post=33&action=edit and trim of the /wp-admin. Then I use the admin URL to build the URL for the dismiss link. It seems to me something is filtering the admin URL or altering your URLs in some sort of way. Since I do not have access to your site I am just making a guess.

I would suggest to definitely double check your home and site URL in Settings > General and make sure both are set to https://imagery.halinasplace.com.au. Also when weird things happen URL wise it is beneficial to update your permalinks in Settings > Permalinks. I personally do not do any type of rewrites but it could be in a theme/plugin that did not refresh the permalinks on activation.

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Greetings,

Sorry you are having such trouble disabling the notification. The URL you have added seems to be in a structure I have never seen. The 2 main things that are required to disable the notification is that you are in the admin and that wpba_survey_notification=0 is some where in the URL. So 2 solutions would be either attempt to disable it directly from the WordPress dashboard or navigate directly to https://halinasplace.com.au/wp-admin/?wpba_survey_notification=0. Please let me know if you need any more help or need more information. One last thing, just a reminder all capital letters can be read as shouting which should be avoided when requesting help.

    Thanks,

Thanks for reporting this it should be solved now. Sorry about that I had a few issues adding some updates through SVN earlier and did not know that it ended up pushing a new release. I think sometimes it can take a little bit to filter through the updates.

    Thanks,
