You say eliminate the missing 404 page. Its not missing it is on the FTP file. Its there I just viewed it.

I first created the pages in Notepad.

I am editing the page in WP. You say I have a lot of unused tags, are you referring to the <div class = “”> tags? When I eliminate them, it throws the content out of whack.

If I remove </div> below the UL list, then my text moves to the right of the UL list.

Believe me I have tried this many times. I ran my web site through a markup validator, the only errors I get are where it says it is missing an open or closed tag. They all have open and closed tags. I checked the line it says the error is on and it is fine.

Run your CSS through a validator, like W3C. You have many errors in it. Then maybe it will work properly.

I have EI9 and it is center in the middle. I looked at it in Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox it looks great. Opera the text gets a little larger, I have that issue with Opera myself.

I am having the same issue. I don’t want to put it in the header page, because it will only be on this page, but it is not displaying at the top.

I tried using p style, img title and many of other things and for some reason I can not get it to display at the top center of the page.

Question-I ran my website through the html validator. It is picking up errors saying many of my tags do not have open or closed. They all have open & closed tags, anyone know why it would show this?

I fixed the 2 errors I had, which where nothing to do with the footer. Now it is error free and my footer is still not showing up?

Any suggestions?

Hmm that is strange. I have Firefox 4.01 I cannot see it. Nor in IE9 or Chrome Google.

The footer darker blue color and has a lighter blue bar running through the middle of it.

I am also new and was looking for the same thing. I created a PSD and downloaded Divine Elemente to Photoshop. Which takes your PSD to WordPress. I had problems with it, many people have not. There was something wrong with the template, when I went to add my text info it would never align properly no mater what I did.I tried to download a plugin and I could not get the plugin to work either. When I contacted the person who created the plugin they said something was wrong with the template. When I switched it to the default theme, everything worked properly.

So I found a free WordPress template that was similar to my layout and modified the images with my template. https://www.freewordpressthemes4u.com/

Not sure if that is what you are looking for, but it worked for me.

Thanks for the info. It worked. However, I still cannot figure out what sheet the admin edit, log out info(showing in the middle of my page) and rss logo are located so that I can remove them. Anyone know what pages these are on and what I need to remove so I do not get any errors?

Also when I added my text I now get comment blocks. I tired removing them, but everything I try gives me an error. Any suggestions on what is the best way to remove these?

Also how do I get the title of the web page not to appear as a header on the page content?

That didn’t work either.

Also when I used this code when I created an html web page the alignment worked great. When I entered it in WP it doesn’t.
