So, your site is fairly new. If the other “sms jokes websites” are not, then there’s your answer. You’d need to do some investigatory work to determine why the category pages of those sites are indexed while yours are not … or you could just make your site better than your competitors’ sites. ??

If WP requires a POP 3 account, and you’re using gmail (which is essentially webmail), you could always download Mozilla Thunderbird.

How did you place the All In One SEO Pack code into your header.php? By that I mean, what program did you use to edit header.php? It’s looking a lot like it was edited with a word processor, but that’s just a guess.

I’ve not used that plugin, so if it puts the code into header.php by itself, I’d try re-uploading the plugin.

Well, I’d say that you’re posting the entire poem/joke on the home page, the category page and the permanent page. Google doesn’t like to list duplicate pages from the same site.

Given that most of your pages have a *lot* of Adsense for such small content, and that the rest of the layout (navbars, etc.) are of course on every page, I’d guess that Google sees these as duplicate pages.

Ah. When you use the Enter key, WP assumes you want to enter a <p> tag, which gives the double line space between paragraphs. That’s the normal way that HTML displays <p> tags (actually, the normal way that browsers display HTML <p> tags).

If you want to change it, edit your style.css — but you may be surprised by what else changes.

Either that, or try holding down the Shift key when you press Enter.

I’m going to guess that you’re floating the columns. So, to make the footer stay under the columns regardless of their length, add this to your footer class (or ID) in your styles.css:

clear: both

That should make the footer start *after* the columns.

That’s a long post. Which extra line break are you referring to?

Assuming the site was hacked, I would:

– back up the database
– back up the WordPress files
– download WordPress 2.62
— update the config file
— upload the files to the server
— run the upgrade
– update the new templates from your old ones (that is, compare them and update what needs to be updated, if anything)

And, next time, remember to back up both your database and the WordPress files on an ongoing basis. Better 10 minutes of work than hours!
