In reply to: Website down & can’t access dashboardThank you. Very much appreciated. I’ll definitely look at that. ??

In reply to: Website down & can’t access dashboardThank you, yes, it’s working again now and was down for several hours, apparently. (Just picked up the Jetpack email too, alongside this one.)
I think it was Dreamhost after all, but I’m now concerned that if I can’t access the control panel either, what happens if Dreamhost drops out for much longer? If I can’t access the control panel, I’m stuck. Would this be a disaster recovery with them or would WordPress enable me to change the host?

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Not connecting to FacebookThank you, Stef (a11n) @erania-pinnera
I reconnected FB and got: “The Facebook account was successfully connected.” I also disconnected from and reconnected to Twitter and LinkedIn, just to be sure. All seems to be working. I’ll know next time I try to schedule a post. ??

In reply to: Not connecting to FacebookIt looks like FB have changed their pages again, which means there will probably be a delay – if, indeed, they allow us to connect our pages to WordPress. They stopped the profile connection a few years ago. I’m going to go and share the issue on JetPack support too, though, just in case.

In reply to: scheduled posts missing scheduleSome of my scheduled posts are still not posting.
Anything on this one?
Many thanks.
This is working now, but only if I use jpg images rather than png images. I’ve not had time to deactivate and reactivate all of my plugins. It will take far too much time away from my very busy work and I can’t afford to lose the income.
Thank you, @roxannestoltz. As soon as I get a chance, I’ll try that. It’s time consuming, though, as I’ve already changed the pictures that didn’t work to jpgs. Saying that, I still couldn’t get it to work on Twitter. So as soon as I can, I’ll give it a try – setting my theme up takes time too, so I need to schedule it in. ??
In case anyone is still looking into this, it still isn’t working properly. I’ve gone in and changed png images to jpg images and that’s working, so perhaps it’s the pngs.
I rebooted and cleared the cache again, but the featured images are still not showing on Facebook or Twitter, but they are showing on LinkedIn. They’re not showing on mobile either.
Mostly, the posts work. It’s just the ones where I’ve created an image in Canva, say. Sometimes they work, but usually it’s these that don’t work. And they were working until only a few weeks ago, so I don’t know if it’s a WP update or a plugin update.
So, sorry, but I still have the problem. ??

Thank you! I did clear out my cache, and I did try a scrape, but it still wasn’t working. I’ll have another look in the morning after my browser has definitely closed down and restarted, and I’ll check on the mobile phone too.

In reply to: unsolicited emails from WP developersPhew! Great. Thanks for coming back to me. Worth flagging, though, if anyone else is experiencing it – i.e. good to know to just ignore them. ??

In reply to: Featured images not showing in social mediaThis still isn’t working, even with the scrape tool recommended above, although that did work before. Is anyone looking at this?

In reply to: Featured images not showing in social mediaThanks, @sumitsingh. That worked in Facebook. ??
I do wonder if there’s something broken somewhere, though, for this to happen.
