In reply to: Custom Post Archive LayoutHello,
Thought of something else to do, just created a div “grid-entry” around the post in the CPT archive template, added a css entry with the exact same details as for .post above, and it works.
Regards,
Jason

In reply to: [Expound] Re: Page Drop-Shadow??
That sadface is for how stupidly easy that was, can’t believe I could not find the solution myself. And the #page atrtibute also solves another issue with borders I was going to ask you about, so a double thanks to you sir!

Jason

In reply to: [Expound] Custom Post TypesHi Konstantin, I am marking this topic as resolved, I am going another route – setting up some post templates instead – it is easier to set up for me at the moment.
Will maybe look into something else in future (I have another site to create, I think custom post types will be perfect there), but for now it will work 100%. Thanks for your assistance.

In reply to: [Expound] Custom Post TypesHello, yes it seems I can do that, though I am a bit out of my depth now. Will go do some research about taxonomies. Not 100% sure how I would use them yet, still learning this WordPress thing!

In reply to: [Expound] Custom Post TypesOkay, I have installed Jetpack and set a tag “feat” for the posts I want to have stickied, but I see that tags can’t be used for custom post types either. Is there a way to activate it? If not, I’ll go set-up some post templates.
Regards,
Jason

In reply to: [Expound] Custom Post TypesHi Konstantin,
My plan is to have 4 permanent posts in the lower featured posts position, so need to sticky them.
Great, will go have a look at Jetpack then, and let you know what happens. Thanks for the assistance!
Regards,
Jason

In reply to: [Expound] Parent Theme overrides Child ThemeHi Konstantin,
Ah yes, that did the trick, thank you very much!

In reply to: [Expound] Featured post up top, then four-post rowNever knew about the excerpt box, that worked 100%. Will read about the “more tag” later, thank you very much for all your help.

In reply to: [Expound] Featured post up top, then four-post rowSo sorry, but it is my first site and it is far from done ?? Ah, it is responsive! I zoomed out and it obviously put everything as it should be, sorry for troubling you!
Though, is there maybe a way to not show the article text on the home page for the 4 lower sticky posts? If not, maybe limit the amount of characters that show?

In reply to: [Expound] Featured post up top, then four-post rowHello Konstantin,
Very nice theme, thank you!
I would also like my site to look like your preview thumbnail for this theme, 1 story at the top, then 4 underneath that in a row, imagine it like this:
_______
_ _ _ _I have set my 5 posts as “sticky”, but they appear all underneath each other. How can I have the bottom 4 next to each other?
Regards,
Jason
