Thank you. My actual question is to have the user be manually approved, from pending to active – regardless of the email registration confirmation verification ?? Currently when a user registers, they are automatically set as Active, and then have access to content without me being able to monitor if they are actually a member of our organisation.

Whoops no, I was mistaken. The problem has not been solved, the reason I could log in was because Wordfence was actually deactivated sorry.

So still a problem to log in once Wordfence is activated. And I have deactivated all plugins and switched themes.

SOLVED
Thank you for the guidance. I did deactivate all the plugins except Wordfence and switched themes, but it still did not work.

However, between all the activating and deactivation of Wordfence to test the login and to actually get into the site, it did a clean install at some point and now all is well in the land. I can login as normal. (I did at a previous point deleted and re-installed Wordfence, but that did not work as well.) Now all is good.

Hi Roger, I installed Complianz again and everything works perfectly fine. Not brave enough to install Burst again because I think that first time round the site broke right after I activated Burst installation.

I added Google Analytics to the header so wont be using Burst in anycase. Would you be so kind to send me the relevant names or tables in database that I can search for to deep clean in the database? Thank you.

There are multiple plugins on the site, please don’t judge me – I inherited the site and always cautious to delete plugins left and right before I know their purpose.
The following might be relevant: Divi, Simple Membership Plugin (and their addons by wp.insider), Wordfence, Siteorigin bundles, Popups for Divi (by divimode), Display PHP version, Easy Child Theme (by Ashok), Shortcode in Menus (by Gagan), and UpdraftPlus – and now of course Complianz.

I can already see what you are thinking.. ‘no wonder it broke!’ I am in process on reducing them one by one ??

Hi team, I would really appreciate a mention to what strings I can look for in the database? Deleting the plugin did not delete the plugin data, and now I see lots of files in wp_wfKnownFileList , wp_wfFileMods and a few in wp_wfConfig and wp_options.

I need to move on to another plugin because I could not get Ultimate Member to work properly ?? and wish to remove all details to not cause conflict with the next membership plugin.

Will close topic but have not found any solution yet. Will start a new topic to find out how database table names.

Thanks, I did to that but unfortunately it did not work. Deactivated all plugins and switched theme to default wordpress.
I still cannot save email template settings without getting a 404 error, nor can I save settings under Misc Tab > Remove data on Uninstall.
The only other way I assume to delete all data to do a clean UM plugin re-install is by removing the plugin details in the database. Is it possible to provide the table names in database that I can look for?
Or any other solution?

Found the solution hidden in the comments of a YouTube Tutorial by Stranger Studios:

All you need to do to access this feature, is navigate to your WP Dashboard > Memberships > Settings > Advanced Settings. Make sure your ‘Show excerpts to non-members’ is set to ‘Yes’ and ‘Filter Searches and Archives’ is set to ‘ No – non-members will see..’

When a non-member stumbles across your content, they will now see a box prompting them to sign up for their membership.

Hi, I have the exact same problem. Wanted to create a new ticket here but saw this issue on top of the forum list.

Some images also have the error: Couldn’t process image due to bad headers. Try re-saving the image in an image editor, then upload it again. I am fine reloading it, but how can I prevent a “bad image header”in future?

I did however, started to smush images one by one in media library, and sometimes they were in process for couple of hours…so I would ”ignore’ the process and then click undo, and start over again. But some would finish at all, they just keep processing for hours… I only saw later that one can bulk process images on smush settings page (my bad).

Site is still under construction though, but I can make a plan to share image links?

Nope nothing helped. What are the chances that you can send me the manual embed script for inserting a playlist as gallery, please? I will insert playlist in shortcode. Tried finding that in the manual embed section of plugin but was not able to, so sorry…
