Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: wordpress creating blank index.html file?Aw, thanks. I didn’t know what to look for. I didn’t really find it in Dreamhost’s control panel, but after you gave me a clue as to what I should be looking for, I added the following line to my .htaccess file “DirectoryIndex index.php”.
Seems to do the trick, even with a index.html file that’s 0 bytes in place.
Now, any clue as to why updates keep on putting a blank index.html file in my root directory? Thanks again.

In reply to: Twitter Widget Pro problemOh, looks like 2.2.2 just came out. That fixed the problem. Update your plugin, if you haven’t already.

In reply to: Twitter Widget Pro problemNope, haven’t tried or found anything. I’m not a web developer, so I’m a little afraid to go mucking around in php code.

In reply to: Twitter Widget Pro problemI’m getting a similar problem. I’m on wordpress 3.2.1 and now running version 2.2.1 of the plugin. This wasn’t a problem before this morning’s upgrade of the plugin. ??
I’m seeing:
Warning: preg_replace_callback() [function.preg-replace-callback]: Requires argument 2, ‘wpTwitterWidget::_hashtagLink’, to be a valid callback in D:\Hosting\2103316\html\blog\wp-content\plugins\twitter-widget-pro\wp-twitter-widget.php on line 342@haythamelkhoja: I Don’t have any other facebook plugins installed. I have an app that looks like it does this, Share And Follow, but it simply provides a link to my facebook account, it doesn’t interact with facebook at all.
I’m also seeing this behavior on my other blog site. https://11thlddems.org/blog
I didn’t realize that the plugin was actually broken before I installed it on both of my blogs. Ugh. ??
@we8u: both update methods.
https://11thlddems.org/blog used the update process built into the wordpress dashboard.
https://www.digitalsingularity.com/blog/ I updated manually because the server wasn’t configured to extract zip files.
Both servers are running wordpress 3.1.
I just updated and I’m getting the application ID / secret error as well. I also tried re-entering my appID / secret and I still get:
Your Facebook comments would normally appear here, but you haven’t set a valid application ID or application secret yet. Go set them now.
Oh, son of a … my dumb mistake. Nevermind!
Hmm… get’s even worse. I have an event occurring this evening. The event is already not showing up in my sidebar. it’s not showing up in the list of current events. I have to go into calendar view to see that the event’s even still going to happen. Is this plugin thinking UTC time while my blog settings are actually PST?
I’m seeing this as well. I’m using wordpress 3.0.4, events calendar 1.6.4 and the Twenty Ten 1.1 theme.
