    Yes, it works if I switch back to the child theme.
    What is the problem? One possibility I could think of is that my functions.php is saved as an ascii. I have tried to save it as utf-8, but for some reason that doesn’t work. Do you think that could be the problem?

    Hi there,
    Many thanks for your answer, James Huff! The deactivating of the plug ins didn’t do anything. So I changed the child theme’s name and now I can access the dashboard again. What do I do from here? Can I simply switch back to my child theme? But how can I prevent this from happening again? And what actually did happen? Many many thanks for your help!!!
