In reply to: [Contact Form 7] None of our contact form works anymoreI’m experiencing the same issues. We’ve been using
Contact Form 7
for years. All fine until very recently, which we assume coincides with an update.I will try the default theme approach you suggest and report back.

In reply to: [WP-Members Membership Plugin] Pre-loading member names & passwordsThx Chad,
I’ll give it a go and advise outcome when used with the WP-Members plug-in.
Nailed it. Thx very much for your help Andrew. Really appreciate the links to ‘w3schools’.
In case I wasn’t clear enough, the site I am working on is: https://www.nw3germantutor.co.uk.
The white spaces I’m referring to are at the bottom of the front page between the footer bar and the page text.
Its the white space immediately below the text line “N6 – Highgate” towards the bottom of the page and the feint double line, plus the white space below the double line and the single feint line that denotes the upper boundary of the footer.
I have yet to master Firebug properly but I have tried the following code placed in child style.css file with no effect.
.site-content article { margin-bottom: none; padding-bottom: none; }
Gottcha – best to nail it with Widget Logic.
Now I get it. I just select the “Full-width Page Template, No Sidebar” template for all the other pages and – bingo – Job done!
Thank you very much @paulwpxp for patient assistance.
OK… got that.
Now the quandary is that I only want RHS widgets appearing on the front page and not elsewhere.
I presume this will either entail modifying the “Front Page Template” in some way or suppressing the widgets on all other pages other than the first page when using the “Default Template” by editing the child theme CSS?
Gottcha – thx @paulwpxp.
Only is there perchance a Page Template for TwentyTwelve that places the widgets in a column on the right hand side of the page rather than at the bottom?
Ah.. yes using the
.site-content { margin-top: 0px; }
code that @kase highlighted above completes the job completely.
Thanks heaps.
Thx @wpyogi
That certainly made a difference. But if I view the page area with Firebug (and forgive me I am still a rank novice with interpreting the CSS this wonderful tool returns) I see a yellow bar above the page content that still appears to suggest there is further space that could be removed.
The line identified in the HTML tab when Firebug highlights this area reads:
<div id="primary" class="site-content">
Thx @paulwpxp for your very prompt response.
Apologies for my ignorance but how or what in this context is a “Front Page Template”.
I have used the “Customise” link associated with this theme (accessed via the “Themes” menu item under the Dashboard “Appearance”) and then used the “Static Front Page” tab to select a ‘Home’ page.
It is the white space between the menu bar and above the telephone number on the first page, or the first line of text on the other pages.
