am not a big fan of putting recent posts on the sidebar, after all the recent posts are already available on the homepage…

Perhaps you will find the redirection plugin helpful. that will foreword specific pages from the old blog to specific pages in the new blog,

however, the 301 redirect is a permanent redirect, so think about it before you apply it. this way, all the link love of your old blog will be transferred to your new blog ??

not sure what exactly you mean, perhaps explaining it further will help.

If you mean on the homepage, you want to display posts in 4 columns then perhaps a magazine theme which supports this feature will do,

satish, your blog is not opening, not even the homepage. others, i guess, its a permalink/htaccess issue. however, you can always just backup your database and install wordpress fresh, would more likely solve the problem.

just login to your wordpress admin, go to theme editor and click on the footer,

In the footer file, just before the </body> put the code.

just a thought, perhaps using a plugin like WP-DBManager might help,

anyways, why not just back up your database now and install fresh wordpress, and then import the database…

Login to your godaddy account, select the hosting account where you want to make the wordpress blog. Then in the settings you will find an option that says, “godaddy hosting connections” just click on it. It will give you all the options of installing everything you want, select blogs to intall wordpress,

Once you have the blog, you will need to go to import and import your old wordpress.com free hosted blog.

anyways, am sure hostgator should solve the problem. anyways, just make sure to disable all the plugins and see if its any better ??

doesn’t your webhost offer fantastico options in the hosting control panel, then you won’t have to install it manually ??

nice and simple theme, but took a long time to load. I guess must be the pictures on your front page, perhaps you want to display a little less pictures to improve the loading time,
