most of the time, in the footer it will be disclosed, but some webmasters edit it, so you will have to find it in the meta tags. if its not there, then there is no easy way to find it.

however, sometimes if you check the site in archives.org you can find earlier versions of the site, and sometimes you will find the cms disclosed in the footer in the earlier versions of the site.

the latest post i find on your blog is – July 18, 2009 , which is about 6+ months old. Go to settings, discussion, there is an option there – “Automatically close comments on articles older than” just uncheck that, i guess that is closing new comments on old posts…

aliyildiz – took a long time to load, and while am posting the reply, i see that the site is still loading or atleast part of it. It could be due to the background snow effect, however it look good. I like the wptemalari, nice magazine theme, is it a premium theme or a custom one? either way, its really good.

themes can be edited easily from the dashboard(theme editor), i don’t think anyone needs a ftp for doing that. If you are feeling worried, i suggest you to change your ftp password once he had finished the work ??

blogspot will not allow to redirect specific post pages, so most of the hardwork you put up on the blogspot in terms of seo will go wasted, though, as posted above, importing content is not a big issue,

perhaps starting off with a domain and a self hosted wordpress installation to begin with is a better idea,

i personally like the revolution themes, its good for multi level categories as its a magazine type and you can display a lot of categories,

there’s quite a few plugins for the social bookmarkings, but if you want to see your users use them then you will have to first get active on the social sites yourself.

what actually happens is, when a visitor comes from digg, and read your blog post, and if he really likes it and find other social site buttons, he also votes on mixx, buzz and delicious etc. so chances are that you will get votes on other social sites and start getting traffic from those as well.

why not just upload the file on the root of your hosting, its the best way to verify. I have never bothered with the meta tags, the file upload is loads better.

on a decent internet connection it takes less than a few seconds to update most plugins. I have never done the batch update of plugins which is available in the latest wordpress version, however i have updated plugins individually and it only takes a few seconds.
