Not really. I just played around and tested some featuers.
Further more I deleted all my galleries yesterday because i integrated flickr on sites.

I added a function to use tags for sites -> so that you find the sites with using tag cloud.
What else? I added the caption and description of the featured image to the right site. you can see that at the only post on the site.

I wanna try out some more things before I really come up with some content ??

I had some issues with the columns too. Especially changing them. It seems to work if I just use the code ??
At the beginning I also had some issues adding pictures. I had to remove the gallery and make a new one. But I think if you add the IDs in the code it will work.

I fixed the problem by changing the gallery tag

1) open/edit the post
2) click to “text view”
3) there i found [gallery columns="6" ids="1,2,3 etc..."]
4) now I added “link=file” to the tag
-> [gallery columns="6" ids="1,2,3,4,6,6,7,8" link=file]

and it works….

It’s a pity. Seems to be a bug in gallery options in the Mediathek of WordPress 3.5.1.

I just had the same problem a few minutes ago.

You open the gallery images as attachment.
You can fix it by:

1) open/edit the post
2) click to “text view”
3) there you will see something like [gallery columns="6" ids="1,2,3 etc..."]
4) add into this tag link=file
-> [gallery columns="6" ids="1,2,3,4,6,6,7,8" link=file]
Now it should open with lightbox
