Wouldnt these have to be changes in the style.css file? Pretty sure I avoided touching that one.

In reply to: Child theme looks nothing like parentI think this is a little beyond that. Spacing is all off (between words, lines and paragraphs) and the content takes up the entire width of the page, with the sidebar pushed down below the posts.
Is that normal?

In reply to: Child theme wont show up in adminOk, so it turns im an idiot. For anybody who happens to suffer from the same problems, make sure you are creating the child theme directory in the public_html/wp content/themes folder and not the wp-content folder in the wordpress folder.

At first I copied the css file from the parent theme and changed the necessary variables. That didnt work, so i found code from a website explaining the process and uploaded that, which is what im unsuccessfully trying work with now.

In reply to: Child theme wont show up in adminGood ideas, but unfortunately didnt resolve. I tried both clearing the db as well as deactivating the plugin completely.
I am able to switch to other themes i have download in the past, but no child themes (ive tried several for a few themese).

I do have caching on my site using the w3 cache plugin, and some manual changes for expirys.
The name of the folder is twentyten child.
