In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] All users locked outIt worked, mbr – thank you again
I didn’t use the reset addon, I just unchecked Login Captcha & Honeypot
As I said we are getting about 400-500 failed logins per day but in the two days that Captcha & Honeypot options were active we only had about 10 failed logins. I might try Honeypot again now that I know how to recover from being locked out?
Edit: Honeypot allows me to login so I will monitor if it cuts down number of failed logins from robots?
Does Captcha work or is there a bug?

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] All users locked outI wondered if a pop-up was being blocked but my webs browser shows no such pop-up being blocked.
On Google Chrome browser I get the message “Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.” but not on Edge or Brave browsers
If I try a second time I get the message “ERROR: Access from your IP address has been blocked for security reasons. Please contact the administrator.
Request Unlock”This is because I have number of failed logins set to block IP address

In reply to: [Emergency Password Reset] reset admin username & now locke doutThanks for replying, Andy – I expected the reset to give me the option of changing admin to whatever I wanted rather than reset to null.
I think the Securi plugin I have installed actually blocked a null username login even if I used my email – so it was catch-22
I had to go into the host service & change the admin entry in the SQL database to recover!!
