In reply to: [List category posts] Title CSS alterationJust wanted to say thanks to above members for giving me a clue on the css style /template issue. Still working out my own but now thanks to above example I have a chance to figure it out because the documention gives you the names but it was driving me crazy which ones to put where!
But should the plugin author also read this, thanks to him also for adding the customfield & class options. I love this plugin.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Helios Solutions Responsive category FAQ] Custom Faq Categories MissingHi – ok so I went away to have lunch and came back to find the answer.
Realized that under the FAQ entry area there is another page (under settings) with settings for the plugin. On that page is a completely different shortcode to that on the repository page (maybe author cannot edit it) – which works perfectly.
So as plugin is working fine, there is no need to answer this post.
For people looking for help – find the settings – shortcode is like this

In reply to: [List category posts] Feature Request: tags parameterI second this request – I love this plugin and the list it makes, I know it does exactly what it says.
But it would be great for me if I could list the post tags after the actual post title, not as hyperrlinks to tag pages but because they were carefully chosen to categorise the posts.
I know I can do this with a customfield, but the tags are there, and can be edited in quick edit, while the customfield entries are not and require a full edit.

In reply to: Advanced Help – Restore MySQL Dump Possible CorruptionHi James
Thank you for the fast reply, I expected to wait a bit longer. As you say if it were copy paste ten posts I would choose this option, but the Posts are venue entries into the directory with separate address fields etc, and then the title, description, keyword info into 40-50 directory entries in wordpress seo. Fiddly individual bits of data. So if I don’t have to do this all again, and contact venues for more info when they filled in a web form already, I’ll choose the backup.
The sticker was if InnoDB makes any difference. But if you think the db engine shouldn’t make a difference, its worth a go, I’ll do that.
I’ll let you know how I go.
Thanks

In reply to: [Music Affiliate Pro] Will itunes link still work with new affiliate program?Hi Brady – thanks for replying. I’m having trouble using the amazon function as well, so it may be a plugin I’ll uninstall for now. Its a shame all that hard work is wasted, it looks good, but I know plugin support is very time consuming.

In reply to: [Music Affiliate Pro] Will itunes link still work with new affiliate program?Hoping someone will chime in and help on this issue.
I just installed this plugin and it looks fantastic and I can use the Amazon part ok. But I need help with the itunes wrapper as the tutorials focus on how to make it with linkshare. I’m using https://linkmaker.itunes.apple.com/us/?at=myitunesid
to make my links and can continue to do this manually if this change has made the plugin function fail.what would be good to know however is whether the plugin author has no time to update it and it really isn’t working now…
or if the plugin works fine still – if so could someone give a simple example of what to place in the itunes link wrapper under settings…
anyones help would be appreciated
thanks – JulieForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Audio Player] Compatibility with WordPress 3.8I love this player and didn’t want to stop using it, but it appears that the creator is too busy to support various conflicts or problems.
I have found that it works fine for me with a fully updated wordpress using an older plugin version. 2.0.4.1 is the version I use and I am careful not to update it past that version. You can download previous versions of plugins from the developers tag.
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/audio-player/developers/
Whether this will solve your issue I don’t know. If you choose to try it, deactivate the version you use and delete the plugin using ftp so you don’t lose any settings you have. Then you can import the zip normally and give it a go. If you still have problems, it is also worth deactivating all plugins to see if if the problem is a conflict with another plugin. If it works with all other plugins deactivated, gradually activate other plugins to find the one it conflicts with.
Thank you for showing me where to look, I will go see what can be done!
Is it possible you could suggest how to re route the message to a widget area at the bottom of page/posts rather than to the footer widget area?
ok the bottom area pmp message goes when I deactivate “widget entries” another plugin also by Javier Marquez which suggests that the 3 plugins are using a similar term somewhere.

In reply to: [Plugin: AddThis] update triggered fatal errorI have tried these two possible solutions – but problem remains
deleting plugin and reinstalling add this from zip in repository and trying to activate it
deactivating all my other plugins and trying to activate
