Hey, I found the same issue and I did some Googling and found disabling Admin Columns and adding a filter to manage custom post columns meant I could identify the posts I needed to change and was able to bulk edit them.

My mistake. I skipped that tab but actually everything is already setup as I’m using SiteGround, except copying object-cache.php to wp-content.
However, now on activation I get:

(in address bar): {website}/wp-admin/plugins.php?_wpnonce=6e6aea5741&action=activate&plugin=memcached/object-cache.php

I got this working by checking “Enable PayPal Checkout on the cart page” in the Paypal options page under Payment.

Thanks – I got a fatal error when the plugin updated so disabled it and then followed your instruction. Had to reapply the filter for the plugin I was disabling on the page too.

OK – so I sorted one site out by amending htaccess and thanks to @otto42 for the suggestion about htaccess. Mine had been an installation from Softaculous that had written my file as follows:

This solved my saving issue in WordPress 5 ?? However the site that I had the Beta plugin running had updated to 5.1-alpha and Gutenberg seemed to have disappeared altogether. I am going to reinstall that site from scratch.

Just removed *all* plugins and added a new user to the basic installation and get “Updating failed” for an existing Post and “Publishing failed” for a new Page. I made sure it wasn’t a browser session by closing all tabs, clearing the cache and restarting my computer.
