Could anyone help me please?
As I said the shortcodes aren’t working for me.

Ok I got it now, the calendar stays in the footer on the default calendar page, that’s fine with me as it’s the only thing on that page.

But as I mentioned in my original post the shortcodes aren’t working for me, to display on the homepage.
Any clues? It might be because of the shortcodes already used by the theme I’m using (lush), but if I put it directly in html, the page simply won’t load, and if I insert it between preexisting shortcodes it just shows as text.

Hi, that’s a real shame.
But then what are the shortcodes for? Can’t I use them to put them inside a div?
Isn’t there a way around this? It seems that others have managed, I might have misunderstood.

Ok so I copied the whole code from the original twentyeleven style.css into the child style.css and now it works is that the only way to do it?
