This feature is very useful for dummies, specially in countries that are not native english speakers. Most of my customers feel a lot more confident using /dashboard or /panel ( in my case: /painel )

It would be very nice to have it implemented in Wordfence.

Otto is now one of the authors of the Facebook plugin, so in my opinion SFC is quite abandoned. Let’s hope they put this option previously mentioned (as in YoastSEO and SFC) to specify a home image and/or fallback image. Meanwhile, the option @shansta suggested is the best approach.

Actually author is not a capability, but a role, as stated in this Codex link.

I have the same problem as mixox, for a few moths now, probably after some WP update.

I removed the functionality in my online site and tried to work with it local, I have it deactivated for a while. Recently I turned the the plugin on again and it gives me the WSOD (white screen of death). Turn it off, all is ok.

The last interaction before this one was in 8 months. will the author solve this?

unlieusurterre, the process is not hard but you will nedd FTP access, and it works for every plugin installation.

1. Download the plugin, uncompress the ZIP file
2. Upload the folder (i.e. memory-bump) to the plugins folder located in …/wp-content/plugins/
3. Now your plugin is installed and needs to be activated. Enter the plugins page in your panel and activate the plugin in the list.
Voilá!

In case you cannot see the list because of the error you mentioned:
1. Using FTP again, find the folder …/wp-content/plugins/ and rename it to something like /plugins-/ or /plugin/ (just ad or remove a character)
2. Just after that enter the plugins page in your panel, WordPress will try to read the /plugins/ directory and will not find it, so it will deactivate all plugins in the database.
3. Go back to FTP and rename the directory again to the original name /plugins/
4. Back again in the plugins page of your panel you will see the plugins all deactivated, put fear not, you can reactivate the plugin you need and those you have before are in a special list called Recently Active Plugins.

A better approach would be set some fields in the plugin settings where people could customize the name for their own reality.

I agree Poedit is quite limited

As far as I understand the POT file is just a clean PO file with a different extension.
In other words is simply done by creating a new PO file, configuring the Project, Paths and Keynotes, save it as PO, close Poedit and rename your file from *.po to *.pot

I wasn’t aware of contexts til now, so I’ll check them out.

? Check GlotPress, I use it to Translate some plugins and the WordPRess itself.
It needs to be installed in your server and you must add validators for every language so it will generate the proper PO files
