In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Compatibility with WP MultisiteI useW3TC for my WordPress Network (formerly Multisite/WPMS and Multiuser/WPMU). You can’t activate it “Network-wide,” but activating it on each site works fine.
But like KingdomGeek said, each site will want to write to your .htaccess file. This is fine as long as each site uses the exact same settings and avoids anything domain-specific.
However, I have a new problem. It started when I upgraded to WordPress 3.3, so it could be just version 3.3 or it could be Network. W3TC is caching my RSS feed and not updating it when I publish new content. I have to manually flush the cache. I came in here to report this problem separately.
I also have object cache issues preventing some backend functionality. I’ve reported this before.
So yes, W3TC can be run with WordPress Network, but it may be harder to maintain that WPSC.
I deactivated every plugin and Theme My Login still doesn’t send the expected emails from WordPress 3.3.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] 0.9.2.4 object cache breaks pluginsNo. Except that removing “plugins” from the “non-persisitent groups” list seemed to have stop fixing the problem. So I have to disable object cache altogether.
By the way, I think W3TC has problems with WordPress 3.3 because RSS feeds don’t update when they’re supposed to unless the cache is cleared.

In reply to: 404 Author Page for Admin?Yes, that’s exactly what I found to do and it worked for me!

In reply to: 404 Author Page for Admin?Did you get your answer this this? I discovered that I have this same problem.
I think we do both want essentially the same thing. I want parallel schedules for separate rooms, you want parallel schedules for separate tracks.
Are you familiar with PHP? I’m reading through stuff about multiple loops and trying to see if that can help me. But I’m a designer, not a programmer.
Right. I’m the lead organizer and designer behind PodCamp Cincinnati. This social-media conference will have several concurrent sessions, almost like tracks.
I want to turn this:
—
10:00 Session 1a
—
10:00 Session 1b
—
10:00 Session 1c
—in this:
—
10:00 Session 1a
Session 1b
Session 1b
—or:
10:00 Session 1a | Session 1b | Session 1c
Did you get your answer to this? I’m trying to do the same thing, but I’m trying to figure out how to modify the PHP code to accomplish this.
Here’s what I think would work (in theory):
Find all sessions with the same time
Display the time once
Display all the sessions
Find all sessions with the next same time
…I’ll share when I figure it out. I think it would be easiest with some kind of double loop, maybe.
I found out that this was related to W3 Total Cache.
Strike that. NONE of the options save! I’ve tried Network activation and individual activation. I’ve tried reinstalling. I’ve tried deleting the options table.

In reply to: [IntenseDebate Comments] Plugin: Intense Debate Ver 2.9.1 (Fatal Error)Same error for me on WordPress 3.1.2 Network. Here’s how I fixed it.
- Download 2.9 from the repository.
- Access your site via FTP and delete the intensedebate folder under wp-content/plugins.
- Upload the 2.9 version.
- Reactivate via WordPress admin.

In reply to: Is my site’s blog marked as spam?Oops. The WP forums changes my writing. ?? My mistake was that I typed “&” instead of “& a m p ;” (sans spaces). Changing the blog title to “Articles & a m p ; Blog” fixed the problem, but everything still looks the same.
Maybe it’s not that the ampersand is spam, but that it’s an invalid character and thus locks up the software so that it doesn’t know what else to do with it.

In reply to: Is my site’s blog marked as spam?CJD Spam Nuke. It’s pretty useful. When I installed it on my own site, I discovered that I had received trackbacks from my own blog several months ago, but were marked spam because of the ampersand.

In reply to: Trackbacks: manual WP install vs. FantasticoOH OH OH! I think that I figured it out. My bloga€?s title was a€?Articles & Blog by Daniel J. Lewis.a€? Do you see a problem in there? Thata€?s right, I typed a€?&a€? instead of a€?&a€? That symbol seemed to mark my trackbacks as spam.
So the problem was that my manually installed WP had this custom title, but my Fantastico-installed WP didn’t.
