In reply to: [Beautiful taxonomy filters] BuddyPress incompatibilityHappy to help. You’d actually be surprised how infrequently people mention “BuddyPress” on this forum — I set my email profile up to get email alerts for it, and most come from the Theme Review team area.

In reply to: [Beautiful taxonomy filters] BuddyPress incompatibilityHi.
Looking at your
automagic_insertion
method — assuming that’s where the error is coming from, we can’t see the whole backtrace so I can only guess — you have this hooked toloop_start
. For some legacy reason, BuddyPress calls that action in two places (one is in itsBP_Groups_Group_Members_Template
class, the other is in theBP_Groups_Invite_Template
class). This unfortunately dates back to about 7 years ago, so I can’t say why the original BuddyPress developer decided to use these. I’ll create a BuddyPress trac issue to see about getting these changed, but at the earliest, the next release wouldn’t come out until October 12.

In reply to: [Welcome Pack] PHP Warnings – Is This Plugin Dead?I just decided I didn’t want to work on it any more, so I didn’t. I moved onto other plugins.

While sad that the plugin doesn’t work any more and therefore doesn’t help you, I appreciate you leaving a message. ??

In reply to: [BuddyPress] A lot of troubles after upgradeGenerally, if you’re looking for solutions, posting on the BuddyPress.org support forums will be more productive than leaving reviews here.
If you can post over at buddypress.org, we’ll try to help you, and it would be helpful if you would include the following details in the post: what version did you upgrade FROM? what theme are you using? are you using the Forums component? If so, are you using bbPress 2, or do you have a legacy bbPress 1 installation (if you don’t know, you are likely on bbPress 2).
For anyone finding this via Google, BuddyPress *does* tidy-up its database as/when required between releases. If you perceive otherwise, please let us know what you think we’re leaving behind unnecessarily, and we can investigate. Thanks.

In reply to: [BuddyPress] NiceHi @bben
We hope you’re enjoying BuddyPress, but I’m not sure why you left us a one-star review. Can we help with something that is making your experience bad?
Thanks.

In reply to: [BuddyPress] Doesn't workHi @j-rajnoha
Best place for support questions is the buddypress.org support forum, rather than leaving a one-star review. ??
If you post a message over there, we’ll try our best to help you. When/if you do, please let us know which theme you are using, and if your site is public, the URL so we can take a look ourselves. Thanks.

In reply to: [BuddyPress] not working permalinksHi @navi21
As far as the BuddyPress team know, permalinks work well. There are very few edge cases where problems used to exist, like with certain old IIS servers (though that might be working now).
If you can post over on the buddypress.org support forums with more information about your site and how you’ve been testing that permalinks aren’t working, we can try to help you.
Thanks

In reply to: [BuddyPress] Errors with my current themeHi @oobigoo
What theme did you have problems with? Were you able to test with a default WordPress theme (e.g. twentytwelve) and see if it worked?
It would also be helpful to have known what the “errors with [your] current theme” are, as that doesn’t give the BuddyPress team much information to be able to help you with.

In reply to: [BuddyPress] ThanksHi
I know this is an old topic, but did you ever post anything over at the buddypress.org support forums with more details about the page saving problem so that we could have something to investigate from? Have you tried a later version?
We know a big pain point is our user documentation, and we try to make incremental steps with each release to make it better.

In reply to: [BuddyPress] Does not work with Enfold ThemeIt should work, and picking the registration page template ought to be independant from the active theme. I know this is an old topic, but did you ever post anything over at the buddypress.org support forums with more details so that we could have something to investigate from? Thanks.

In reply to: [BuddyPress] BuddyPress is not working with WP 4.1We’re sorry to hear you had troubles with BuddyPress and WordPress 4.1, but they do work together; there’s probably some quirk somewhere that’s causing problems with something on your site.
I see you’ve found our support forums over at https://buddypress.org/support/topic/buddypress-2-1-1-is-not-working-with-wp-4-1/, and we’ll try to help figure out the problem.
magichew is correct. I’m separately looking into any BP issues.
