figured it out. it was this stupid redirection plugin.

now that i see it. every thing moved to the main directory (eg: https://www.fermentingrecords.com/?page_id=5 ) but the main index aka https://www.fermentingrecords.com doesnt show

sooooo weird.
i figured out how to log back in,

for some reason the theme went inactive. why would that be?

ok, then how do i log back into my /wordpress blog.
i dont want the .wordpress.com blog, i thought the password was wrong so all i did was change the password, and i guess it made a new blog?

i deleted the plugins in my FTP wordpress plugins folder.

i just realized that it changed from https://www.fermentingrecords.com/wordpress/ (which is now blank for some reason) to https://fermentingrecords.wordpress.com/ (with a different theme then i originally had with .com/wordpress

??

anyone else have any advice?

that wasnt the issue as much as i wished it was.

im on my work computer which is a mac (installed on a pc) and it still shows me the same thing in my previous post.

thats the weird thing…

no where in my dashboard does it allow me to upgrade.

my dashboard has:

in Tools it only shows me “Turbo” and “Press This” which deals with bookmarks.

Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!

but when i log in to my wordpress it says

WordPress 2.9.2 is available! Please notify the site administrator.

tried it and it didnt do anything.

all it did was shift my header to the left, and there was no link.
i did make a transparent .gif and i named it “transparent.gif”

so lets say i want to make a transparent image over it and make a link.

what would be the steps to do that?

the url is set in my settings.

it doesnt let me click the header and bring it to the home page
