In reply to: [Widget Importer & Exporter] I give up on .wie filesYes, I am still interested. I now don’t think the problem is the wie files.
I did try installing the plugin like all the plugins I have are installed.
It did not work. I will go back and see what specifically did not work.
Right now I am working on a proposal that is due Monday. As soon as I finish that I will get back to you.
Thank you for offering to help. I hardcoded websites for my dial-up websites. Later I switched to a program that simplified some of the code. I finally ended up with WordPress so that I could train volunteers or staff to use it. If the website was my job and I got paid for it — no problem. But I run a very small non-profit & that needs attention first. Thanks! I will be back with specifics.

In reply to: [Classic Widgets] Block Widgets Bad. Classic Widgets Good. All my widget content is gone. Like I have time to flip back and forth to reconstruct the widgets. If the content even showed up.
I hate changes that increase my work. If I got paid for what I do maybe I could upend my schedule. I don’t want to.Thanks — everything is working fine and customer support did a good job.

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WordPress crashLast thing I did was try to empty the cache. 1/2 hour later the system was still working. That can’t be right.
So now every time I try to log in to work on the web site (both domains) I get this message:
application/x-httpd-eig-php52 (418 bytes)
Firefox browser options for the file is “open” or “save”. Neither works correctly. Firefox doesn’t recognize the file because there is no dot extensionI don’t know the file structure of WP. I have no clue where to start doing anything. Maybe I can reinstall WP if that will fix anything. I don’t even know how to do that.
Not afraid to muck around in the file system but I have no idea where to start.
Got it! All I had to do was change the setting for the WP Coming Soon page to “off”. Of course it is simple. I started using my ipad to check my web site. That way I know I do not have any admin access.
I like your plugin. Very nice and easy to build the Coming Soon page. I am delighted with the finished page. Looks professional.I found a plugin that was clobbering my page builder changes.
I emailed the developers of the plugin and never heard from them.
Now that the plugin is deleted, things work fine.
The Coming Soon page does not disaply.
I I have spent a couple hours on this – am I overthinking it?
Dp any changes need to be made to the WP theme? Like putting the home page in “private” mode?Does your coming soon page supercede all other settings in the theme for the duration — until it is disabled?

In reply to: [SpiderCalendar] Customer service is slow and did not fix problemI sent several emails over 2 months. Got no reply. I won’t pay any more for calendar. Use a better translator. “incontinence” makes no sense.
