And it’s still really slow off & on.
Still waiting for the Host to confirm or deny that it’s a server problem.
I’ll try wppa 8.0 later.

Have been in contact with host.
They think they may solved the issue with a server.
That just leaves the issue with Logfile missing in Photo Albums.

The problem is that it’s intermittant.
I tried disabling all plugins but results depend on whether it’s running slow or fast at the time so it’s difficult to pin down

Actually, (as I said) I’m not using Gutenberg yet.
But it’s odd as I have a test site and I’ve loaded the same theme onto that.
Guess what? The background color of captions is a different color!
Oh well, I’m none too familiar with CSS so I’ll either stick with it or I’ll record my carefully chosen colors, uninstall then reinstall the theme and, one by one change the colors back to my chosen ones.

OK, I think it’s solved. After removing ‘Disable Gutenberg’ & installing ‘Classic editor’ everything went on go slow for a while but now it seems to be OK.
Still testing but looking good so far.

Have deactivated ‘Disable Gutenberg’ & installed ‘Classic editor’.
In Editor the WPPA+ ‘Insert photo’ the ‘Plase Select Photo’ doesn’t show photos from ‘Media’. It shows nine intances of (War Memorials) – one of my pages.
Short code generator on the ‘Please select photo’ does the same although it also lists: ‘Photo of the day’ & ‘Most recently uploaded photo’

Yes, all is up to date.
Will report back.

I’m using Disable Gutenberg Version 2.5 | By Jeff Starr

Running ‘Site Health’ I have the error message: ‘The scheduled event, wppa_cleanup, failed to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended’.

In addition to the above I’ve just tested it on another website & although there are differences it still doesn’t work.
On this second site if I select (on Edit page) ‘shortcode generator’ the ‘Insert Gallery’ dialog box appears & all boxes are reponsive but when attempting to select a photo (The Photo to be used) instead of taking me to the photos stored in Media – it displays numerous copies of an album name, ‘Photo of the day’ & ‘The most recently uploade photo’.

My website is still useable/viewable but it has broken my theme Tempera in that I’m no longer able to customize it. All adblockers are disabled. Also I’m now unable to add themes.

I’ve deleted the plugin from wp/content/plugins folder but to no avail.
Basically it’s broken/corrupted my website.
A solution in quick time would be most welcome.
