Thanks for the quick response! I tried to submit the issue using the form you linked to, but after submitting it, “Illegal characters in POST. Possible email injection attempt” was displayed. Don’t you just love programming! ??

So here the info I tried to submit:

    Plug-in Version: 3.1.2
    Last Install: Upgrade
    WP Version: 3.3.1

Problem Description: vCita Option Always Selected & Email Escape Characters Lost

There are 2 issues, which I am not sure are related:

Issue 1 – vCita option always selected, even when unselected and form updated

I have three forms setup (out of the default 4). The problem only seems to happen on the second form (2). Steps to recreate the problem:

    In the admin:

    a. Select form 2 -> Alert appears at the top: Meeting Scheduler – Invalid email format
    b. Deselect the “Accept Meeting Requests via vCita” on form 2
    c. Click “Update Options”
    d. Click form 1
    e. Select form 2 -> Alert appears at the top: Meeting Scheduler – Invalid email format

Issue 2 – Escape characters lost in “E-mail To:” after form is loaded on public site. Again, this only appears to happen with form 2, as I could not create the problem with form 1.

    In the admin:

    a. Select form 2
    b. In the “E-mail To:” field, enter “Miller\, Turetsky\, Rule \& McLennan\, P\.C\., [email protected]
    c. Click “Update Options”

    In public site:

    a. Load the page that displays form 2
    b. Load the page that displays form 2 (again) -> Error appears: ERROR: Misconfigured E-mail address in options.

    In admin:

    a. Select form 2 -> Alert appears about incorrect email format. In the “E-mail To:” field the escape characters are missing: “Miller, Turetsky, Rule & McLennan, P.C., [email protected]

I primarily use Google Chrome, but also did some testing in FF and found the same issues to occur. If you need any additional information, please let me know.

I am happy to provide access to the site where I am having this issue or setup a GoToMeeting session. Just let me know.

Thanks for providing such exceptional support!

Thanks so much! I’ve never had to install a hot patch for WP before. Where can I find it and what’s the easiest way to install it? Note that I am an experienced developer and am comfortable working with code, queries, etc.

Thanks again. I love your plug-in!

Sorry… I found another bug. When the order of photos in an album is set to random, when you click on a photo in the filmstrip (for that album), a random photos appears, not the one you clicked.

OK, thanks for letting me know.

OK, I admit to not RTFM, but I assumed the new version would work like the last. I activated the form designer, but was unable to design a form (tried both Chrome and FF). I was able to create a [blank] form, but I could not see / edit it.

So it appears there are bugs with both the designer and how the widget is rendered on the public site. And based on the new form designer, I am not sure why there needs to be a section in the admin tool for registration and user profile settings.

Lastly, it would be nice if there was a way to get back to the main admin screen for the plug-in from the other setting pages (e.g. link from Lists, Activities, etc.).

I will be in love with the plug-in again, once the bugs are fixed and would be happy to send a donation along.

OK, I was able to get the widget to show lists by editing the the widget itself. But even when I specify a title and description for the widget, they are not displayed.

I also found another problem. The widget no longer shows a field for first and last name, which the last version I had did. Is there a reason for this change, or is there a way to show these fields?

Thanks Mike! I will definitely check out the Visitor Maps plugin and would love it if the referrer field could be included in the data export. If I can help with beta testing or in any other way, please let me know. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for adding this feature! It works like a charm. In appreciation, I just sent you a donation. Thanks again.

I have another request that I hope you might consider. It would work something like this…

On every page of the site, there would be code that would record the referring URL when a visitor first visits the site (in a session cookie). For example, if they came from Google, it would record:

    https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=fast+secure+contact+form

If the visitor was to fill out the web form, there would be an option to include the referring URL as one of the fields in the form (not visible on the form itself) that would then be included as part of the email it sends. As an added bonus, it would be great if the referring URL was a field that was supported by the data export option. And even better would be if another field could parse referring URLs from the major search engines to show the individual key words.

This feature would be an invaluable for analytics related to search engines, and also analytics related to conversions in general.

Maybe I am just dreaming, but I would certainly be willing to compensate you with a generous donation if my dream were to come true.

Also, I would be more than happy to help with the effort in any way – writing specs, testing, etc.

Thanks for your consideration and for making a fantastic plug-in!

    Cheers,

    Dan
