In reply to: Image Upload via Live WriterI’m still using LiveWriter with WordPress. The image upload is what doesn’t work.
what a lot of people DO share is the experience I’m having.

In reply to: Image Upload via Live Writerit didn’t work for me. I don’t understand how wordpress has gone this long without posting a fix to this. I was thrilled with LiveWriters’ abilities. I still use it, but am really frustrated with this image problem. Community Server still works fine with LiveWriter, through each upgrade since this problem with WordPress began.
This should be made an issue to be rolled into either a fix/patch or rolled into the next release. LiveWEriter is the best tool I’ve seen yet , even for just text, having spell check, great styling features, WYSIWYG blog style look, etc.
Com’on WordPress!

In reply to: Comment notification problemwhere is that in the database?
Any chance of wp making it easier to find the settings which wp uses to send emails? I have searched through the database and the files and can find no sign of my email server through which I send mails.

In reply to: Importing Movable Type Not workingHello???? Anybody out there? I find it hard to believe that WordPress can just leave this feature to be struggled with by their users. I know of at least one person it is absolutely the show stopper for keeping me from changing over (with the lesser problem of not implementing pingbacks/trackbacks the way it is accustomed to being used —ie trackback creator Six Apart—–the idea for me is to make it easy to track who is linking to you. If the “linking” person has to come look up a “Trackback URI” and enter that into their blog tool in a separate step, that defeats the purpose. At least give the option having the posting function auto-create the trackback , like MT does)
Much more important however, is this import problem. It simply breaks with all sorts of path problems, according to the errors thrown.
PLEASE PLEASE fix this!

In reply to: Importing Movable Type Not workingIs this a problem that WordPress is thinking of doing anything about? I think it’s a rather severe one if they hope to get converts. Maybe they don’t.
