    Thanks.

I actually typically do use the text editor, and just use the ‘add media’ button to throw images in there. I can upload images to the media library and then manually <img src> the images in there, but that’s such pain. I’ll take all the suggestions here and try to ‘band-aid’ this situation as best I can until something changes either on wordpress’s side or the theme designer over at themeforest.

    Thanks

Yes I turned them all off and then activated them one at a time and tested the ‘add media’ button functionality.

I have posted in the support forum on themeforest (where I purchased my theme) for assistance, which may or may not come….so we’ll see.

If I could somehow ‘rollback’ to the earlier version of wordpress that would be a good temporary fix until my theme designer or another wordpress update comes out. I realize the inherent security risks of doing that but right now my blog is dead in the water and anything at this point is better than have a blog I can no longer use…..

Of all the wordpress updates, I haven’t had any issues until this update? This is crazy. They need to fix this. I have seen other support posts and apparently im not alone…but thx.

Actually my wordpress version was the most current. All plugins were the most current. Not sure how they got in?

Arghh! Thank you both. Esmi, unfortunately I think you are dead on. I had detected the iframe in my index file that pointed to some .ru site. so basically it looks like my site (hosted on Godaddy) has been compromised. Damn!
