In reply to: unwanted mails from wordpressThanks so much. I don’t quite understand how, as I wasn’t aware of subscribing to this, plus I clicked a link previously that was supposed to check for everything, and it said I wasn’t subscribed to anything. Anyway, thanks for the tip. Hopefully this will fix it. I’ll report back later if I don’t get any more mails.

Hi, I already deactivated it and then reinstalled and it didn’t fix it.
Also, since posting this question, I’m now getting a gazillion emails with other people’s questions. I’ve unchecked the box to receive emails, plus I’ve checked re a link that I found on the forum and am listed as NOT subscribed to anything, but am still getting hundreds of mails. Anyone know how to stop this, apparently it’s a common problem.
Please don’t suggest that I open a new thread for this, as I daren’t for the sake of my inbox and sanity.I looked at the mail poet help page and it said the following. If the error message says something with the word “JSON” on it, try to increase your server memory to 128M with this plugin: Change Memory Limit
I’ve resolved it through my hosting company.

Having the same issue. Don’t know what caused it, but more importantly, don’t know how to resolve it. Started a topic and was referred here.
I can’t send out any mails/newsletters, including test email to myself.Forum: Fixing WordPress

Thanks Geoffrey!
My dog and I are well chuffed. Warm regards from Holland.It looks like the style is coming from this stylesheet:
https://www.lessonsinjoy.com/wp-content/themes/freak-pro/assets/css/main.css. For the time being you could use FTP and follow the structure of that link to the stylesheet location, do a search for #masthead h2.site-description and update the font-size there to see if it makes a difference.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: centre sign up button – MailPoet Subscription FormHi again,
I tried pasting the code into my child theme, and playing with the sizes, but it didn’t change whatever numbers I tried. (So I’ve now changed it back.)
I’ve looked for 2 evenings and still can’t find the code you pasted.
This is all the typography code from the stylesheet that I have, but I can’t see which part relates to the subheading. Any other ideas?
Thanks again,

In reply to: centre sign up button – MailPoet Subscription FormHi Geoffrey,
Thanks again for your help.
I’m struggling though, as I can’t find this in the stylesheet. I’ve clicked on the stylesheet and found the typography section, but have nothing like this. Now I’m not sure what to do. I could copy paste the code that I do have, but it’s lines and lines. There’s also a specific header section, but I can’t find your ref in that either.I did set up a child theme, but I’m not sure exactly how it works, as there’s almost nothing when you open this in editor. Once I find the right part of the style sheet, do I copy paste this into the child theme with the settings I want and it overrides the original theme, or something else?
Thanks for your time and sorry to be such a tech div. Hope my site gave you a smile at least. Dominique

In reply to: centre sign up button – MailPoet Subscription FormBrilliant! Thanks so much Geoffrey.
It took some fiddling, as the first couple of times that I did it, the sign up button centred, but then the part above it didn’t, but in the end this combination worked:
this in Stylesheet (style.css): .wysija-submit { clear: both; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; }
And this in the widget box on the page itself:
h1.widget-title{
text-align:center;
}I have one more question if you can help.
Do you know how I can make the text on my tagline: Life lessons from a dog
very slightly bigger? I got the Google Easy Fonts plugin, hoping this would give me control over it, but it doesn’t.Anyway, thanks for the centring. My dog and I are very pleased. Happy Friday.

In reply to: centre sign up button – MailPoet Subscription FormThanks Geoffrey.
I can edit the widget directly on the page.
Then I have these boxes:Widget Class
A CSS class
CSS StylesCSS Styles, given as one per row.
And his is what I have in Freak Pro: Stylesheet (style.css)
See below.
I tried adding the code that you gave, but nothing happened, so I took it back out again.Maybe I’m missing something obvious. Please yell if you can help.
Thanks.
