In reply to: [Membership 2] rapid response, but no supportHi PositivelyRandy,
I’m not familiar with what you’re referring to but would be more than happy to take a look if you’d like to email us through our contact form on the site.
I’ll be happy to discuss as much of your particular issues with the plugin as possible here as well if you’d like to provide some detail. Much of it is certainly applicable to the free version so it would be useful, I’m sure.
Cheers,
DavidHi endo199,
It would replace it, though the data (your settings and products) will be intact, so you wouldn’t lose anything, but simply gain features! ??
Cheers!

In reply to: How can I integrate functionality akin to StackOverflow on my blog? You could also give the brand new Q&A plugin a try, made to work like StackOverflow, Quora and Yahoo Answers.

In reply to: New user controlMy pleasure! The plugin is most often used for paid levels, but it does work equally well for simply restricting public access to areas of the website.
But yeah, it does seem as if spam stopping software’s what you’re looking for there. ??

In reply to: [Membership 2] [Plugin: Membership] UninstallHi ghOzt,
Sorry for the delay! The plugin doesn’t currently have an uninstall option, though the database items it installs are quite easy to manage.
They’re all easily denoted by a m_ prefix.

In reply to: New user controlWell, if you don’t have anti-spam protection, the following just came to my attention and seems promising.
https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/While I think it may be anti-spam protection rather than a membership plugin you’d need for this, I’d definitely advise Membership Lite.
https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/membership/You could perhaps create a simple membership level that has extremely limited functionality (you’ll have extensive control over what they can access) and you could then choose to upgrade them to a real membership as you see fit.

In reply to: New user controlIn your case, I think that would help. Do you have anything to help protect your registration from spam users?

In reply to: New user controlCome to think of it, it sounds like maybe those are simply user accounts that haven’t been validated (ie. haven’t confirmed activation via email).
I’d have to say, it sounds like what’s occurring is you’re getting spammed.

In reply to: New user controlI’m unable to create a new user without that new user showing up in the BuddyPress directory, so I’m not sure how that could occur.
One thing to check though, what user role do new users have when signing up on your site?

In reply to: New user controlThanks for clarifying that Gezz. So to clarify, the new member shows up in the BuddyPress members page and the users that member creates don’t show up in that member page as well, but do show up in your user tab?

In reply to: New user controlHmm, the Users panel doesn’t mention “who” created a user account. It only details the account username and email, essentially, as you can see at the following:
https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Users_Users_SubPanelIs there a particular user tab you’re referring to? Maybe from a different plugin?

In reply to: New user controlHi Gezz3D,
I’m a bit confused as to what you mean users creating lists of phantom users. Only admins should be able to create users. Do you mean that people are creating lots of dummy/spam user accounts?

In reply to: [Membership 2] [Plugin: Membership] Access/non access to pages doesnt workHi crashguru,
Was there anything specific that occurred prior to those things not working anymore? Did you install new plugins, change themes?

In reply to: Membership Plug-ins . . ?M.K. I just had to say that’s a very cool, little breakdown. It’s apparent you’ve done a lot of work in not just creating the review, but keeping everything updated as well.

In reply to: [Anti-Splog] [Plugin: Anti-Splog] Please get this to work with non-MU!Hello evilbrummiegit,
The plugin really is meant for splog issues though, as opposed to regular spam, the difference being spam bots creating spam websites on your multisite.
I agree the features would be great to have in regular WordPress though!
Cheers,
David
